For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

I have two separate apps on. My fire stick one for Disney and the other for Hulu. I signed up for the Disney +Hulu deal but I can't sign into the Hulu individual app. When I use the same username and password for Hulu it prompts me to pick a plan. But I am able to see Hulu content in the Disney app which is weird. Is this the way now? No need to have a separate Hulu app?
When you have different app accounts with different passwords that is the problem. You need to setup with mydisney account. It was a pain to consalidate everything under the new mydisney account. I now have all the apps HULU, Disney+, MAX, STARZ setup and open independently. Took some time to do, was a pain and have to reregister TV's etc. but now done.

Depending on what Android Google PlayStore Rewards level you're at, you can get:
Hulu- free 6/9/12 months stacking with Hulu 31 day free trial.
Disney- same, not sure about the extra 31 days.
Neither my cup of tea.
Although, the Disney login does allow streaming ESPN -(free version, not Plus) for those that don't have a TV or Streaming provider that carries ESPN (you need their login to stream ESPN games).
And ESPN not my fave either- when they lose UFC & Euro soccer will have zero reason to tune in.

Every year I get this and every year i regret it more. the number of ads and their repetitiveness is unbearable.
It's been worse lately. Hulu has so many ads on some shows, they're unwatchable for us. Others have abrupt ad breaks that really detract from the show.

I watch over the air TV just fine with commercials, but Hulu's vary on different shows, presumably bc of differing ad demographics they're promising advertisers based on our account info. Wonder if they know they're paying to show me the same HIV prep medication ad several times during a 1-hour show.

I hate how all the deals are with ads. Give me a deal without ads.

I had signed up for last year's Hulu/Disney+ deal (signed up through Hulu's site) but couldn't get this year's $3 for 12 month renewal to work so I canceled. Logged into Disney+ site with same account and the $3 offer for 12 months deal showed up there so was able to get this on the same account. It shows up as $10.99 but shows it only charged $3 with next month at $3 as well.
Just be aware that signing up through Disney prevents you from obtaining the Starz 99ยข deal.

Their spiel is when you get sick and tired of ads, you click cancel and they give you an "offer" without ads.
With ads it is just unwatchable. Both Hulu and Disney+.
Hulu load up 12-13 min per hour, disney a little bit less, but still too much ads for my taste.

fire stick has both surf shark app and disney hotstar app if you login to your firestick with an amazon account from india. (Prime is cheaper in INDIA) but you can also change country of your US account.

Any deals on ad-free subscription.?

I've done this BF deal for years, but can't take so many program interruptions any longer. Netflix keeps the ads short and infrequent. Hulu seems to use the opposite model.
