For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

They already got rid of the no ads addon last year, but still had a with ads addon. So that theory doesn't work.
Yeah can't believe it's already been 2 years since they had the cheap workaround but yeah got it then I guess then went up to like 9.99 month hulu with ads disney without now paying like $13 after last month like I said nod
Still worth keeping since cheapest Disney+ u can get without ADs is the standalone Disney premium at Monthly: $15.99 so still saving a few dollars a month but less and less each year Mad
Cheapest Hulu + Disney duo plan no ADs is even more at Monthly: $19.99.

email they sent me in like last month
"The Disney+ Add-on to be Discontinued
As a Hulu (With Ads) subscriber with the Disney+ Premium Add-on, we wanted to let you know that the Disney+ Add-on will be discontinued. To avoid any disruption in your viewing experience, your Hulu subscription will automatically update to a Disney Bundle Duo plan, including continued access to both Hulu (With Ads) and Disney+ Premium on your first billing cycle on or after October 18, 2024. There will be a decrease in your monthly subscription fee as a result of this update so that your new subscription fee for the Hulu (With Ads) & Disney+ Premium Bundle will be $12.98/month.
"

So if you kept your legacy Disney bundle it's seems to fall in between the new Disney Bundle Duo Basic and Disney Bundle Duo Premium on this chart
https://help.disneyplus.com/artic...plus-price
paying extra $2 to get rid of ADs on Disney can do that but not worth extra $7 to also get rid of ADs on Hulu shake head

IDK it let me get the $3.23 deal with my OG email account I used on hulu two years ago along with PayPal linked to the CC I was using this past year and I was using a different email account and it worked.

Yes I tried to sign up for both deals on separate accounts/separate emails, with the intention of cancelling the more expensive deal once I locked in the better deal. I was able to get the $0.99 for Hulu and locked that in (with a different credit card) thinking I would be offered the Disney+ add on for $1.99 more, but was not offered that. I will try a different browser but I'm not hopeful.

Update:
Tried a different browser with the same result. I'm not getting the deal. Maybe I'll try customer service

Update:
They said no deal. Only for new or >1 mo returning subscribers. Note to self, cancel before Thanksgiving next year
You can definitely still sign up by using a completely different e-mail address that you've never used before along with a different payment method. You can create a new Gmail address or use the following trick with your current Gmail address:

For people saying it's just $1, wrong. It's $1 plus a running 20% of all your watch time. How much is your time worth?
Let's face it, a $1 a month is essentially free. If a $1 a month is going to break anyone's bank account then they shouldn't have any streaming service and they probably shouldn't even have the internet. Now, would I pay full price for Hulu with Ads? No I wouldn't. But if it's essentially free I'll take it for sure. Not to mention the fact that we live in an age where almost everyone is constantly distracted by their phone's. When the ads come on I find myself doing something on my phone for 90 seconds and the ads fly by.
And this Hulu deal, year after year, is one of the most popular deals on Slickdeals. Probably in the top 5 most popular every year so anyone who doesn't think it's worth it is definitely in the minority.

Does anyone know if i can subscribe on another account and pause the subscription? I still have 3 months on another account.

Update: I basically have to pay for one month, but it should be paused after
That's the situation I'm in from Disney Movie Insiders. One month will overlap, but then I'll probably keep it on pause for a while after that.

Be careful. Disney used my GC and Hulu charged me the normal price for two months. They refused to refund me. I cancelled and re-subscribed for $3 under a new account.

For $0.99 , I may get it. The ads were annoying when I first got hulu. Even though the ad breaks were shown in the playback, they were at weird times in the video. It's not like TV shows where they have designated points to stop for commercials. Also they constantly played the same ad multiple times and it was for company I used to work. Not a good way to decompress and zone out from work. Therefore, I quickly upgraded to ad free.

Since it doesn't appear that I can add this to an existing subscription, if I cancel my subscription, will I be able to activate immediately again using the same account or will I need to create a whole new account?
I haven't been able to do it

It was a rhetorical question. I think you answering it underlines my point.

Today, you pay someone to watch TV with commercials
Tomorrow, they will pay you to watch TV with commercials

After paying for commercial free tv (netlix, etc), I cannot go back.

In the first quarter of 2022, Hulu showed 7.1 ads per show and 11.1 ads per hour to its users, whereas, for Paramount+, the numbers stood at 18.6 and 26.8 ads, respectively.

I had to create a new account. I tried cancelling my account and subscribing but it has to have been a month since last subscription. So I just created a new account.
When I tried to create a new account, it still showed $9.99. Advice on how you did it please. I had the old account and cancelled 2 days ago also.
