Came in here expecting to read impressions on these (since I have been mildly interested). Got a ton of people trolling the Ray-ban glasses. I don't have them. I can't speak from experience. But I did notice Norm from Tested had them on his items of the year list. And his reasons sounded sound to me:

It's a way more convincing pro than any of you naysayers have argued.

The Ray Bans are awesome. They look like... Ray Bans because they are Ray Bans. They aren't whatever these things are. They allow for hands free video recording which is really cool if you like to do product reviews or want to record video while driving or at an event where you don't want to hold your phone up. It is not secretive recording anymore, there is a cue light that won't let you record if it's covered (I think this is a good thing personally). But I mainly use them to talk on the phone while I'm walking. Much better experience than having earbuds in since you aren't blocking out the other noise. The meta Ray Bans also have a built in "AI" assistant which can answer basic questions and do other personal assistant tasks. One of the coolest features (albeit kind of scary) is that you can ask the glasses what you're looking at and it will describe it to you. May be a good feature for blind people honestly.
I read an article talking about how they work well for visually impaired people. They can ask it to read signs and stuff like that.

i think we both agree that people are not using glasses like the RAYNEOs in public, theyre using them on flights, hotel rooms, etc..to get a full productivity screen or watch 'content' privately. but we disagree on which one would be collecting dust....i think the raybans, with no screen and no real function, would be the ones collecting dust.
Why collecting dust? I put on my prescription lenses and wearing it everyday lol

Ray Bans is for pervert if you use it in public. It is such a privacy violator.
Just talk about things you know lol, no body is forcing you

None of these glasses have IPD settings. So depending on the distance in between your eyes your experience will be YMMV. The outside edges of the screen will be slightly blurry if your eyes are too far apart. Other than that things are great. Hopefully they'll add IPD settings like the quest and most VR headsets then I'll buy a pair.

I have one and I love it. Works great. It's not actually 201" but for reference when looking at the display on my wall about 10 feet away, it'd be similar to something like a 85 inch tv.

Fairly comfy and lightweight. Speakers are good too. My only con is that there's no hard carrying case but I put mine in a large generic sunglass case.

I bought it and used it, the magnetic connection for the glasses makes it very inconsistent. I got 10 min of use before it turning off. The on board speakers sound awful and the arms are too large to fit over ear headphones around it. The XREAL Air is a better product without a doubt. Used it on a round trip 5 hr flight each way and it's a far more usable product for cheaper than this. I posted a bad review on amazon and the company harassed me for a good week to take it down and held my refund hostage.
What magnetic connection are you speaking of? These are connected via a USB c cable.

the ray bans are *NOT* awesome🤣 i tried them on and it was painfully obvious that they were a face worn device.

i suppose; with poor enough lighting - someone on a galloping horse might not realize they're not regular ray bans
They are still Ray-Bans... Ray-Ban makes different models of glasses btw

And no, nobody knows they are not regular sunglasses unless you tell them or they already know what they are.

No. I got the glasses for free from Verizon for signing up for home internet. It's the only way I'd have ever given them a shot. I used to mock them too but I didn't understand them. I also thought they could record secretly which I was against.

I walk my dog multiple miles a day and I use the glasses during that walk in place of my earbuds and I love the change. It's much more comfortable, more intuitive and the ability snap super quick pictures and videos of animals and such that I see on my walk makes them very useful to me.

I accidentally bought the one without "New Pack" in the name (3.7 stars whereas the OP is 4.0 stars). Anyone know if there's a difference?

I finally received these and got to try them today. Unfortunately, I did not like them. The blurriness at the edges was too bad for me. When I tried using them with my laptop, I could not see what I was typing in the search bar of the browser. On the steam deck, I could barely see the edge where the battery power was showing. I had high hopes for these Frown. I'm going to try the Virtue Pro ones next because I do have use cases for these types of glasses.

I can't speak to these, but I have the viture pros and they do have manual adjustments you can make for each side.
