refurbished. could be a defect/repair. If so, I want lenovo refurbished. The discount is too minor for risk, but still maybe a good deal for the more daring among us.

This is a fantastic machine. I have had one since launch. I even bought an eGPU for it which costs as much as the machine itself for dock mode with better graphics. There is some fan noise but even the Steam Deck has a fan.

I think the point was even just 512gb, you're getting a brand new device with warranty vs risking it for a refurbished one, which could mean anything, with no warranty. You can easily expand storage with a microsd card, or with a bit of tinkering, can easily replace the ssd inside. Only thing with that is you have to clone the original ssd first, and also I think that voids the warranty.

I got this earlier around the same price. Warranty was at 8mo, I resubmitted the receipt and it gave me 14 months warranty. I'm guessing they are an authorized retailer for refurbs, others had the same experience, that's how I knew to do that

That's not accurate. They can't void the warranty just because you upgraded the SSD unless you break something in the process of upgrading it. It's fairly easy to upgrade the storage.
