Great Deal... Except
You're paying tax on the full value of the phone ($449), so it's $99 after a trade in, but taxed as if it's full price.

Mine jumped from $99 to $143.99 (CA Tax)

Caution - They might decline trade in credit and charge back $350 on you (people got burned with this before). That will make a refurbished S21 an absolutely disaster deal.

I will give it a hard pass on this "deal", period.

S21 came with 3 years of Android upgrades. It should get Android 15 before losing support next year. The S22 came with 5 years of Android upgrades, plus 2 additional years of security updates. I'd go with the S22.

I have Motorola G6 but it's not on the list, only G7. Would they accept it?
Why not select "other"?

Yeah, I'm not sure how screaming of a deal this is? Looks a bit cheaper than ebay, unless Samsung's direct refurbs are really high quality with fresh batteries or something.
yes this is a crappy deal. Ebay is much better, buy from there.

No idea. Never own a Samsung. Valuation is totally unknown to me
Trade in for a phone thats the same age maybe older than p7?! If you have TMO, you can just trade in and upgrade to P9. Getting a S21 is with P7 is meh.

At least get the S23 or S22+ if you are "upgrading" and want to try a galaxy phone.

California! The tax capital of the world. No surprise to me. Thanks Gavin!
The tax law has been written for a while way before Gavin. It's easy to blame someone you don't like, but that is just how the CA tax law had been written.

You literally can trade in anything if you pick the "other" mfg as an option.
DOn't know why there are still a ton of people who can't properly navigate samsung's site to see the "Other " option.....

It is for "Any Android Phone" or any iPhone.

For an Android phone: Scroll down to "Other" and the only choice is "Other Android Phone". The credit is $350 for any Android phone.
For an iPhone; Choose "Apple" and then scroll down to the bottom and choose "Other iPhone"

I'm not sure what they'd do if you tried to trade in an old Windows phone.

Funny I was thinking the same thing. I have two that no longer connect to the cell service, but I like one of the games and it works fine. I had gotten a new battery a while ago and it is essentially brand new. My older one was my phone for a while before having to switch to Android - a Motorola phone. I did not keep my old Motorola phone as the battery was extremely bloated out and I was afraid of a fire. I recycled it with the city. So I have no phone to trade in except my Microsoft .... bummer! I actually liked my Microsoft phone, but no apps.
