You're paying tax on the full value of the phone ($449), so it's $99 after a trade in, but taxed as if it's full price.

Mine jumped from $99 to $143.99 (CA Tax)

Caution - They might decline trade in credit and charge back $350 on you (people got burned with this before). That will make a refurbished S21 an absolutely disaster deal.

I will give it a hard pass on this "deal", period.

S21 came with 3 years of Android upgrades. It should get Android 15 before losing support next year. The S22 came with 5 years of Android upgrades, plus 2 additional years of security updates. I'd go with the S22.

Not a good deal at all. Reasons: 1 Refurbished should be at lower price; 2 128GB is low and they don't have SD card slot; 3 need to trade in, you need a phone that they want.

I was finally able to just now buy the s21 for $99 after 24 hours of refreshing the Samsung page and either showing unavailable or allowing me to add to the cart and then the site removing the cart due to insufficient inventory.
