My wife got me one of these. She doesn't know that I'm not a big fan of Gerber. I am a big fan of utility blade knives as inexpensive pocket knives, though. Quick review, it's all right. The blade is a utility blade so no need for comment there. Pro, the pry bar is curved just enought as to not dig into your pant/side if you shift yourself. Very thoughtful. Con, the slide mechanism gets lint in it thus the action is affected negatively. I would recommend a Milwaukee Fastback over this. The profile on the Gerber is a little smaller but it's still too hefty to wear with chinos or even "non-work" jeans still making this a work knife and where I have to recommend Milwaukee.

Curious to see what people that own this think about its usefulness, or really what the use case is for this tool.

Not too often hat I need a nail remover that I don't have a hammer in my hand, but I do have a utility knife in my pocket/toolbag. And I'm trying to think of a life situation that would cause me to need a pry bar to have it as an EDC item.

Just seems like a very odd mash up of tools. But I love hearing other people's EDC needs/solutions.

I've been carrying a 6-in-1 Fastback for years and gave this a try but ended up going back to the Milwaukee instead. The Gerber sits in a drawer now, probably never to be used again...

Agreed. If all you need is a simple utility knife, this is hard to beat. Small, lightweight, functional, and inexpensive enough to have one wherever you need it. The one with the button lock is great for EDC. The marginally less expensive one with the frame lock is also pretty good.

For reasons that I don't completely understand. I have purchased two of these over the years. The only thing I've really used them for is either a dangerous fidget toy or occasional opening boxes. I've pried a couple things with them, but it turns out. I just don't pry many things.

Neat idea, not super useful in practice.

I've used this for years. I like that it's cheap and durable. Very solid. Cord cutter is useful and the prybar has come in handy a few times and honestly it's nice to just have a solid hunk of metal sometimes. I'm not a huge fan of the blade change mechanism. It's held up but it's not very easy to use.

When you leave your truck hammer in your garage and have this in your truck and need a nail remover on a quick job you're doing Smilie.

I have this and it is a great pry tool with utility knife, but one thing I can't understand is how the designed didn't think to put a 1/4" hex hole instead of the oblong lanyard hole.

This version without the belt clip makes it annoying to carry in your pocket. The version with the belt clip is much better. I returned this version after a week of awkwardly carrying it in my pocket

Something about having a retractable razor in the handle end of a prying tool seems like a really bad idea to me

Bought the smaller brother version of this with the xacto knife replacement blades. They used glue to hold the sliding mechanism together and the glued together pieces split apart when I tried to replace the blade the first time. I remember seeing many reviews stating that the push button on these tend to break off after some time so be wary.
