Correct. 10GB is free tier and you can refer upto 3 people to get 10GB per referral. And if u join through a referral u can reach upto 50GB

Yeah that's a good plan as well. However, you can always stack up the referral bonus even after the black friday sale for lifetime plans is over. Filen allows to stack storage like if u buy two 200GB plans your total will be 400GB + 10GB (and your referral storage).

Yes that's a lifetime plan (one time charge) currently being offered during black friday. However, please note "lifetime" here means the company's lifetime and the lifetime plans are being offered because the company is relatively new when compared to others in the domain. Anyhow 200GB (+ 40GB of free plan) of zero knowledge encrypted storage for $35ish is still a good deal.

Valid concern. However I would recommend checking reddit for your questions. Filen's code is open source. Their team has already answered similar questions. And if it helps, you can always do a double encryption. You can use tools like cryptomator.org and encrypt locally and then back up on filen.io and use filen.io as your secondary back up storage.
