FYI: You need to ensure Motorola receives your trade-in device within 27 days from the day you placed your order to qualify for your trade-in value and bonus. Yes, it's not based on the day you receive your trade-in box, the day you ship it, or the day you receive your new phone—it's based on the day you placed your order. They must receive it within 27 days, not just have you ship it. So, be careful.

Yup, that's me. I literally have one of the oldest Motorola phones allowed for a $1+150 trade in sitting around. It has zero value on the used market. My daily driver is a 2022 Stylus 5g which has served me well but is a little long in the tooth.

ETA: if you don't have a trade in, Walmart has 2024 Moto Play for $40, it has a $35 trade in value straight up+$150 bonus value

This is a badly worded offer. You're basically getting at least $1.00 for the trade in, plus a bonus discount of $150. They say "most phones" but they only go back to iPhone 11.

Can I use the $30 locked "Boost Mobile - moto g play 2024 64GB Prepaid - Black" from BB deal as a trade in?
https://slickdeals.net/f/17898309-moto-g-play-2024-64gb-black-29-99-boost-prepaid-best-buy

I do not want to send my old note 10+
Good catch, I would like to know as well. Best buy being more convenient than Walmart.

Nevermind the trade in deal, this phone at $350 is great value.
Better than average Screen, battery life, processor, memory, ram, fast charging, and no other mid-range phone gives ip68 rating.
They're giving me $30+$150 for the oneplus 8. No other company even takes the phone in.
My brother is getting $60+$150 for his galaxy A25. Again, hard to trade in anywhere.
You gotta have very specific needs to pass on this Motorola if you're searching for a mid range phone.

Edge 2024 has underwhelming battery and heats up with basic usage. The Stylus and Power have like 2x the endurance.

No. I have both and the Stylus is better overall. Worse design wise.
How do the cameras compare? The main camera specs look 100% the same. I have the Edge 2024 and main camera is pretty good.

Am I weird for still wanting a Stylus 2024 over the Edge? I like the stylus, microSD support, and 3.5mm headphone jack, even if the processor is 10% slower.
Stylus 24 is one of the best phones Motorola made in a long time, so no not weird at all. Not many phones at that price provides OLED screen and optical fingerprint sensor along with all the other benefits you mentioned like microSD and 3.5mm.

It's a great phone and even better than Edge imo.

This year the Razr plus is the closest thing to a flagship in the USA. Last year we got a Edge plus but not this year.

Edge Plus (Ultra/Pro internationally) IS their flagship, but no plus was made for 2024 in USA. Razr U is flagship of foldables.

Haven't own a motorola for a long time. Unit is dual sim, nano + esim.

Any one know if they guarantees updates for x amount of years ?
2 for Edge /Razr, and should be 1 for any other line. They're slow to update so not sure it even matters.

The 2024 Edge and Stylus have the same main lense this year, so should give similar results. The processors aren't the same, and that may cause actual processing to differ.

The Stylus 24 is the best package overall, and mainly loses in sleekness and software longevity. Power 24 has wireless charging! A new feature for the line I think.

Why this is even a deal? You can get this phone at straight talk for $130 included 2 months unlimited plan without porting in and ID verification. Just get a new number and use it for 2 months.

Man, why can't they do this for the 2023 edge plus? Anyway do you guys think it'd be worth the upgrade to this edge 2024 from my edge plus 2022? My edge plus 2022 has 512 of storage though, so I'd lose half.

I'm typing this from a Moto Edge 2024 I've been using for a few weeks. It's fine for basic usage, and the screen, sound, and haptics are all at least decent. But you are giving up a lot of performance and camera quality compared to even years-old flagships -- the Edge 2024's processor is slower than that of the iPhone 8 (from 2017) and the photos it takes are grainy and blurry, much worse - especially in low-light or unstable conditions - than from the Galaxy S9 (from 2018), just comparing to other devices I have on hand.

The main benefit that the Edge 2024 has over those, of course, is the large 144Hz OLED screen and more modern software support (currently on Android 14, expected to get up to Android 16), as well as the additional RAM so that background apps don't get killed. I also like the plastic back (but not the curve of the screen edges or the "Mobile Services" bloatware that you should disable ASAP). Honestly, for someone like me who doesn't play heavy phone games (just puzzle and card games), it's a perfectly nice device... except for the camera, which simply isn't up to the task of taking photos of the kids playing or at their activities.
Agreed with this review. Also using the Moto Edge '24 on occasion. I'd would like to keep it instead of selling it. But the cameras, I had higher expectations. When shooting video, the camera keeps focus hunting for no real reason, even in easy lighting conditions. Dynamic range, at least in video, isn't very good. Everything else is fine, like performance and display. It has a surprisingly good selfie camera but main camera needs work.

This is a common theme with Moto devices - great hardware for the price, poor everything related to software, including Android updates, video and photo processing, lack of features in the UI. Literally this thing comes with like 7 ringtones and most are junk.

I think the main camera is pretty good, but photos are a little overprocessed. BSG Gcam seems to work well and looks more natural:

The fact that it only has 7 ringtones is pretty funny, but the phone lets you choose any sound file as a ringtone.
