Even though the build quality is great on these, and the noise level is supposed to be much lower, Bosch uses cheap compressors that ring at a high frequency instead of low. If you have a quiet kitchen, these will drive you crazy.

Thanks, im on the market for a new fridge. Shows up as $3144 on the website for me but $2844 in the cart, I will go to the store with unit on display to take a look and if looks good and price round $2500 that would be sweet deal

Yup. I can confirm this. I have one and it drives me crazy at night.

I think these all have it to a greater or lesser extent depending on slight variations in manufacturing. I don't know why more people aren't complaining about this even though I do see it in reviews. I honestly think people have high frequency hearing loss and can't actually hear the ringing. But you're sensitive to high pitch noise, this is a terrible fridge.
