The blades in these things can be sharpened in about 10 minutes. This video [youtube.com] gives the general idea. I use the same method except I wet sand the blades with 1,000 grit or finer sandpaper instead of using metal polish. I do this once every couple years or so and still use the original blades in my shaver that's about 15 years old.

I'm ordering one from this deal because the plastic housing is starting to crumble at the power button and the battery is getting weak. The blades work like new, though!

Walgreens substituted a 3600 and just delivered. I'm happy enough with the substitution however you may want to turn off the SUBSTITUTE option on the final order page if that concerns you.
FWIW, both models use the SH30 replacement heads and I actually prefer the 3600 size and it having the trimmer built-in, not a detachable clip-on.

Sadly it was cheaper to just buy a whole new razor than just replacing the blades on my 6000 series. They wanted $45 for the replacement heads. Throwaway society

I have the exact same model. Used Braun, Panasonic and Phillips before. The motor on this one appears to be not very powerful, spins weak, and feels like close to be out of battery. BUT, it actually shaves very well. When I switched to Braun from Phillips years ago, I liked Braun. Now I like this one better than Braun.

I'm glad it states it only works in cordless mode. This way I won't buy it as a backup when the battery most certainly will fail.
that's always the case for wet shavers.

prevent people from shaving wet while plugged into the wall. like shaving in the shower.

Don't do it. I got it for $20 and not worth it.

Very weak motor. Can't be used while plugged in. Save up a bit more and get something nicer and stronger.

You'll be spending 2-3 times as long trying to shave. I can't even grow a full/thick beard or mustache and this thing still takes some time to get a clean shave. If battery is low be prepared to have the shaver pull at your hair instead of cutting it.

I would had returned it but left it til past the return period.
