That said, the Deck does have a massive and active community, so any problem you have will be documented somewhere else. Valve also partneredwith iFixIt and repair parts are readily available.

The OLED screen is also a big upgrade, many games I find much more enjoyable now vs when I attempted to play on the same game on the LCD. The LCD is fine for games that 'pop' but dark games like Thief could be really problematic in brighter ambient light. But back to use case.
No matter which model you pick it is the most competent handheld gaming PC under $800.
I also don't drive a Ford Fiesta stick shift, no AC, with only a AM / FM radio. Do you? Heck, if you wanted to keep money in your pocket you could do a free crossword puzzle as opposed to buying a handheld gaming device.

Feel free to have the last word, clearly you need it.

Another option could be buy from a company like Fanatical or Humble (both legit sellers), then not 'reveal*' the key until you are ready to gift. At that point you could email or text the key. Both companies are doing sales right now for BF.
*you could actually reveal the key at any time but after revealed you cannot ask for a refund so might be safer to buy then get the key later.
It sucks that a lot of multiplayer games don't support it due to anti-cheat, but then again not everyone is into them and would be better to play competitively on a proper pc rig anyway
On the bright side I wasted money but I also gave it to Valve, one of the top 10 companies I would love to support.
Seems you can cancel within 14 days.
Odd, because that seems to be the theme here.
"No one said" it was "a deal." LOL....for someone who seems obsessed with what has been said you are really bad at keeping track of what has been said.
Exactly, bang for the buck...what I have been talking about. Assuming the extra $200 aligns your use case. Your Ford..."firsta" isn't always a "deal" when you need a pickup truck. That saved money can cost you over the long run. 'Buy once, cry once' sometimes is correct. Sometimes it isn't.
I'm not the one worried about money not sitting in my pocket...you are. I know my use case justifies the difference. Yours might not, great. But you also seem pretty darn upset that I won't side with you. Does my opinion about my OLED Steam Deck make you second guess your LCD?
