Good deal if you need just PlayStation/PC/Switch support. If you also need Xbox hold out for a deal on the Nova 7X, which can also be used on PlayStation.
These are highly rated and feature-rich headsets. Check out this[youtu.be] overview starting from 33:00, Joe from Gagetrytech lists this as one of his top recommendated gaming headsets.

I actually had one of these and didn't think it sounded incredible or anything. Decent for sure, but my old Audio Technica M50's sounded better.
I bought it for my PS5 but the M50's plugged into the controller sounded better to me…more full.
It is not surprising to hear that your wired studio headphones sounded better than these gaming headsets. Wireless Gaming headsets should really only be considered for their features, not their professional sound.
There are only a few exceptions to this, like the audeze maxwell and the pulse elites.
There are decently some good wired headsets with mics

You can get the Xbox version for $99.99 by going through Woot right now and utilizing the 20% off promo (max $20 off) that's an app-exclusive discount.
Download the iOS / Android app first so the below link will launch the app instead of the website (or add it from the website, sign in, and then launch the app and finish checkout through it).

Which is better? Pick 1 or 2 below and also tell me which ones not to get. There are all under $40 now. I don't care if wired or wireless. Thanks
a) JBL Quantum 200 or 350
b) HyperX Cloud II
c) HyperX - Cloud Stinger 2
d) Razer - BlackShark V2
e) Razer Kaira X Wired Headset
f) Soundcore Anker Life Q20
g) SteelSeries - Arctis Nova 1
h) Sony WH-CH520 Wireless Headphones Bluetooth On-Ear Headset w/ Microphone (Cappuccino)

I'm not very familiar with those options, but I can maybe make a recommendation or two. Are you gaming on console or pc? and do you need a mic? Are you looking for better performance With first person, immersive gaming or fps?

1. Need a mic
2. Gaming on PC only (basic stuff)
3. Playing games with others
Thanks.

Since I'm not super familiar with your picks, nor the $50 and under options, I'll refer you to Joe from Gagetry Tech, he made a really detailed video that covers a lot of the headsets you're considering. https://youtu.be/eOXCEsTyv7s?feat...ared&t=913
Since you're gaming on a PC, you'll definitely get more bang for your buck by focusing on getting a good set of cans (closed back or open back depending on your preferences) and then a standalone mic, or getting a V-moda boom pro to attach to your headset if it's compatible with the headset you're looking at. However, if you just want a hassle-free option, the nova 1 or cloud X 2 should be decent options.

I bought it couple weeks ago for $99.
Download the iOS / Android app first so the below link will launch the app instead of the website (or add it from the website, sign in, and then launch the app and finish checkout through it).
Go to: https://electronics.woo
Select 7X version for $119.99. Comes with bonus Destiny accessory pack.
During checkout, a $20 discount will be automatically applied, bringing it down to $99.99 before tax.
