Due to repeated questions in the thread here are additional details.
The $300 Verizon GC offer is tied to purchasing a smartphone online. You are eligible to claim this offer for every order transaction regardless if you are placing an order for 1 phone/line or 10 phones/lines.
The $200 Verizon GC offer folks have been receiving via sales chat/phone is a switch promotion. I am not able to find the terms for this offer but in the past this has been an available offer which requires you to port in from a non Verizon carrier that includes the various Verizon prepaids and MNVOs.
To my knowledge these Verizon GC offers have 12 month service terms or you will be charged back "claw back"
There are currently 2 separate iPhone 16 offers.
- the offer in this post which involves the trade in of any Apple, Google, and Samsung device for $1000 in bill credits with new lines
- no trade in required to receive $1000/$820/$640 in bill credits with new lines for the Ultimate/Plus/Welcome plans respectively
When you add the phone to the cart you must choose the right offer otherwise you will not go through the workflow with the step to add a trade in.
In addition if you enter a non Apple, Google, or Samsung device during the trade in you will receive the actual value of the device, including $0 if its older to be recycled,
AND you'll be defaulted to the non trade in promotion.
This is the reason at checkout some people are seeing $10/month or $5/month because they've selected the Welcome or Plus plan respectively and the non trade in offer has been applied.
There have also been a lot of "can I trade in XXX phone?".
The terms state you can trade in ANY Apple, Google, or Samsung phone in any condition. In my experience the any condition is intentionally meant to covered cracked screens and aesthetic damages. The device should turn on and function well enough that the IMEI can be retrieved and have no swelling/damaged battery (for safe handling reasons). Regarding any phone from the 3 manufacturers the process is constrained by the system and the list of devices/imei in its database. Be reasonable and don't expect extremely obscure or foreign region only devices to come up.
You can determine for yourself if a device qualifies for the $1000 by going through the online order process. You will need to enter the IMEI so you must have the device in hand. If you are not getting the $1000 value then you likely have not selected the right offer when adding the phone to the cart or your device is too obscure. I've attached screenshots of 2 devices that have been inquired about (A03 and 5c) showing the $1000 trade in amount.

Anyone know a way around this?
If you go through the process you can see a drop down list of IPhone to choose from.
You do not have to submit the trade in during the order. You can submit it any time within 30 days after the order.
If you submit it during the trade in process you will need to enter the IMEI number for each phone right away.
Any time you submit a trade in with an IMEI number, whether during or after the order process, you must submit that specific phone as the trade in is tied to the IMEI. You cannot change the device later (technically you can via customer service and the trade in department but it is a very convoluted process and you risk screwing things up).
My situation and questions, TIA:
1. Verizon Fios customer. 3-4 lines on other prepaid carriers (Boost etc).
2. Bunch of old phones suitable for trade in, AT HOME. We are away until 12/03 international travel.
Asking cleanest way to do this deal -
1. Say I want 1 IPhone 16 Pro Max, 3 Pros, @128 GB each, on the Unlimited Welcome plan to get $120/mo minus any discounts
2. If I do the entire process online, and select trade in for $1000 credit for each phone, do I have to specify trade in phones IMEI right now (which I dont have) in order to finalize this deal?
3. Doing it online will not give me $200 GC / per line only the $300 GC and any CB from another site, right?
4. To get the $200 GC / line it's better to do call me phone call w V rep or chat to process the entire order, but also ask to waive activation?
5. Can do number porting later or now w the order completion?
6. Trade in says any phone any condition, but when I used V Trade in webpage, it wont accept a iphone 5 or a LG K51 for example as eligible for any deal. What gives?
7. Can do less than 4 lines for same deal?

1. The welcome plan cost is 120 for 4 lines. Plus there will be taxes and fees. For me in CA it was additional ~30$ of which taxes were ~12.5$, remaining fees (:
2. You do not have to give IMEI when ordering. I was at home but didn't have the old phones powered to see IMEI. So told the chat rep to put note on order about trade-in. However this results in the cost of iphone to be 9.99/month right now which they will give credit (to make it 0/month) once you send in your trade-in.
3. Yes $200/line was best option i found.
4. chat and tell your friend was offered $200/line and waived activation fee. They will match it. however they may try to talk you into offer without trade-in which will be the 9.99/month cost.
5. Not sure about porting as I have not done. Other user here posted that the line will be activated now, but you can port it later - so I am going with that.
6. Trade in - I asked chat rep to confirm the trade-in any condition. She did and I have captured screenshots. Not sure if it will be an issue though
7. If you do less than 4 lines, the plan cost is higher by 10-15$ (forgot exact numbers) - you can see it under plans by changing number of lines.

I need to verify couple things on order - $200 gc/line and trade-in credit(didn't have IMEI# handy). Though I confirmed twice with chat rep. about this, I do not see it in the order receipt. I captured screenshots of chat so at least have some evidence.

Was the $200 on top of the $300 for switching? Total $200 or $500 per line?
