Yes that is definitely a better setup for only $30 more. But you have to be one of the few people close enough to a Micro Center to take advantage of it.

I'm not an expert, but from what I've been reading, it sounds like the power spec has non-proprietary parts, which is a big plus. If you're picking up from your local Micro Center, the return and service policy may be better as well

I just decided to go with the Lenovo deal for my 15yr old son, but his name is Legion...So it made my decision a bit easier lol

Forgive my ignorance, but is this PC more powerful than a PS5 pro?

I also bought the walmart one (and a best buy one), but I'm leaning towards this one now. I with I could get a model number of the motherboard. But going by the specs, this one does seem more future proof, with the Ryzen AM5.

No but a lot more complicated than that.

Ps5 Pro has a mildly weaker Cpu but a stronger GFX card and PS5 Pro has AI upscaling which is a tremendous boost of image quality, few hundreds of dollars worth in additional upgrades.

Can I ask why you prefer this one? The walmart pc has faster CPU and GPU.

This one is AMD processor and GPU vs the Intel/NVDIA combo at Walmart. The one here is a teeny bit better on paper but it mostly comes down to GPU optimization and they should offer comparable performance.

May be better to keep the Walmart one if you have issues, can deal with them instead of B&H

This one has the newer Ryzen CPU socket (AM5), which AMD has said they are supporting through 2027+. So in theory you could refresh the CPU in a few years and extend the life of this build. The Walmart one has an intel CPU socket that is essentially end-of-life. So future CPU generations will not be supported.

But you're right, the walmart one has a better CPU/GPU.

Is this GPU any good? I found a PC that has this card but with a Ryzen 7 7700 open box for $600. Is this GPU close to a RTX 4060?
