Not to trivialize your concern, but I don't think there's an atom on the planet that doesn't cause cancer.

As far as cast iron goes, it's probably a far safer alternative than Teflon, stainless steel or aluminum.

You may have gotten some bad information and are believing some sensationalist propaganda regarding non-stick pans.

Cast iron is not a non-stick surface. The non-stick properties they have are from seasoning with fats at high temperatures and are generally considered safe or harmless.

PS: This is a hell of a deal for a basic skillet and gets favorable reviews.

Cast Iron from China, no thanks.

I can't subscribe to sending a piece of cast iron halfway around the world just to save $5 or whatever over a Lodge or any of the other American cast iron manufacturers.

It's shaped exactly like a Lodge pan, so they're probably the OEM.
There's less than zero chance that Lodge is the "OEM" of these skillets.
Just because they look similar (which 95% of all cast iron skillets do) is no indication that they are the manufacturer.
Also their shape is not 'exactly' the same.

What is this brand? I haven't heard too much about them and can't find much info.

You can find the brand on Amazon. These pans had 4.5 stars, so I ordered both sizes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09C2PH8JV

In for one, I will take the sander to it like my lodge and get a smoother finish on it and reseason it. My lodge is perfectly nonstick after a good seasoning.

Where does it say that this came from China? I cannot find the origin.

The company is based in Ronkonkoma, NY (USA), however that does NOT mean that the skillets are made in the USA.
The entire sited doesn't even list these cast iron skillets undet their products, which is extremely odd, and the only mention of them is on their "Disclosures" page listing the MSDS related info.

I'd say these are either made in China or possibly South America (Coumbia) such as where Victoria cast iron cookware is made. More likely China tho.

After reading the comments here on how fussy cast iron is regarding several seasonings and slow heating it just to get it going i can gladly say F that noise, i'll "stick" to non-stick...

Perhaps you will not ingest all that much yourself, but the history of health issues and birth defects caused by the manufacturing of teflon in its workers and their children is well documented. They even made a movie about it.
Like this poster said, cast iron does not have any of this, so it's up to you which one you'd rather use.

My well seasoned cast iron pans are more nonstick than those nonstick pans. I can crack an egg on my cast iron and it would glide easily.
Nonstick pans wear out within three months of usage and they're pretty bad if scratches. You can't avoid it not being scratch since the nonstick layer wears out after a while.
I use cast iron for frying or searing, stainless stew to make anything with broth and a wok to stir fried.

i bought a cheap cast iron from harbor freight. Just wanted something to learn on before buying a lodge or something.

I've grown to really like it. I can almost get it to cook eggs non-stick. But it does take work to keep it clean and properly seasoned. Everyone seems to just say "cook bacon" and it will re-season. i have not found that accurate. I have to scrape the hell out of mine then actually re-reason. I dont know how just randomly cooking bacon gets rid of the small bits of stickyness.

I decided to use the cast iron for my meats and other items which i dont care if it sticks. I just use my non-stick pans for eggs/fish and other very specific items. Regardless, I will always supplement my cooking with cast iron from now on though.

You could try searing a steak or salmon at high heat for 3 mins each side and then baking it for a few mins in the oven.
Why does this have a thumbs down. This is literally the most common use i have with my cast iron when I make steak almost weekly
