I've had this the last two years paired with the G502 Plus [amazon.com]. I use the plastic hard top though it also has a fabric soft top in the box. Haven't ever had to charge my mouse

If you have a dedicated plugged in pad you could also have a dedicated plug in mouse...

I'm hoping someone chimes in with a cheaper alternative. I have the 502x and it would be nice to not have to even think about charging it, but I don't want to pay this much for convenience(but I might).

I have seen you can get alternative pucks to enable regular wireless charging, but I forget the details and if it would actually save $.
It's not really wireless charging, but I've been using the ~$30 Soarking charging stand for years without issue. Mouse snaps on magnetically so it's reliable to just rest it on there nightly (or weekly really, lasts a while with the RGB off), don't have to plug anything in or fiddle with it.

using the exact same mouse since 2020, still working great. I also use the plastic over the fabric.

Thanks for the suggestion, I was debating this wireless charging pad but for the price the soarking one seems like the way to go.

I use it with the same mouse but with the fabric top. For anybody wondering it usually keeps your mouse charged at 75-85% or so. You cannot charge more than one mouse at a time.
I have a thick Corsair XXL mousepad covering on the base and it charges just fine.

clearly not the same when you don't have it plugged into your mouse. haha. Wired mice suck. Also if you are creative you can mount this under a desk and it will still work

FYI, does NOT work on metal surfaces (like the secretlab standing desk...).

Best buy has same price plus 20 percent discount for recycling any computer accesories or gaming console accessories, like a USB c cable.
How do you get the coupon? Do you have to get it in store?

Last time I checked, I don't move my mousepad around my desk while playing a game. Only my mouse. Hence, the desire for a wireless mouse over a wired one.

Has Logitech provided any update to this product to match the polling rate to their higher performing gaming mice? That's the one downside to this mousepad, the last time I looked into this as a solution. It was pegged at 1,000Hz - which is still 'fine' - but their mice can poll as high as 8,000Hz and wireless gaming mice, in general, commonly exceeded >2000Hz some number of years ago.

I use a charging dock i got on Amazon for $30. Won't charge it like the mat. Once you're done you just slap it on the dock and it'll charge it to 80% (to preserve the battery).

we've been using these for years.. so great. I use a corsair mousepad on top, the surfaces that come with it are not good.

No, but you don't have to use the included receiver.
It'll take one more usb port but you can charge through the pad and receives with the 8k receiver no problem.
