It might be worth getting it for a couple of months to watch Dexter Original Sin which premiers on Dec 13.

Why the downvotes? I was looking for a deal on Paramount just to watch the new animated Transformers movie which is allegedly good. Shocking, I know.

I think the year of Walmart+ for $50 that includes a year of Paramount+ Essential is a better deal.

Essential plan means commercials - no go.

Use code "VICTORY" on sportsline.com. Link your sportsline to your paramount plus. Click "cancel" on your sportsline but don't cancel all the way-- they might offer you 3-4 months for free. ~15-16 months for paramount+showtime for $40.

If we had the Paramount+ with Showtime through Walmart and the plan says that the promotion expires in Dec 2024, I assume it does not not auto-renew? I dont see anywhere about that through my Walmart+ other than a 'Cancel my Paramount+ with SHOWTIME promotional plan' link. Any thoughts?

EDIT: nvm, I see an email when I activated that says it auto-renews so I will need to address that....

Are you sure this works. I see it's gets to $40 but also read in the how to activate paramount faq on sportsline that says it does not work with any promotions only on full price

I only know that it and similar offers from sportsline that supposedly don't work for paramount+ have worked for years now. I was due up at EOY so I canceled because I read in a previous thread that I could get two free months by doing so
-- some ghetto thing where you actually cancel and they email you and you email them back. The sportsline guy responded to my response and said "just create a new account then use xxx code for a few free months". Meanwhile, my P+ account totally went dead as soon as I canceled SL, and my wife was getting pissed because she was in the middle of Zoey Saldanass scene in Lioness. So crawled back to SD and saw the VICTORY thing later in same thread (I think), tried it with my existing accounts (purchased $40, did soft cancel, clicked account linking link) and now I have P+ back.

Can they enforce their "oh sportsline __ only includes ___, not P+ ___ (showtime etc whatever)" and it goes away and I'm out $40? Sure. Have they yet? Not that I can find any evidence of.

Oh man, I just did this. Renewed on my original account with the code Victory, which dropped it to $40, and then after that, I activated Paramount Plus, and it worked. I tried the cancel trick for an extra 3 months, and that also worked. Now I'm good till March 11th. Thank you so much!!!

Great! Happy to help, although whoever mentioned it in that other thread is the worthy one.
