I just bought it on homedepot with the homedepot credit card, texted customer support which took over an hour to get back with me. Told them I wanted to price match an item I purchased, gave them the order number. Told them tractor supply, menards and farm fleet had it cheaper. After several mins reviewing it, they price matched it to $499 and refunded me the markdown price.

Menards has the same price. No free shipping, so only a deal if you want to pick it up in store.

Good deal for a gas snow blower. No real reason to go single stage gas with this available.

Everyone has same price really waters down the deal aspect.
Going to be gutless-5hp equivalent which will work fine with smaller drifts-that don't get up to your hips

DARN!!! that's what I get for being prepared. I bought the EXACT same snow blower from home depot on the 17th for $770.

anyone know if home depot with pricematch? I already registered it, put gas in it and put a cab on it. I really don't want to have to take it apart to return it.

You might get lucky. I'd call and ask but they might not honor it being it's a special price. BUT Menards, Fleet Farm and Tractor Supply all have it for $500 so it's at least not a one off special price

Well, I tried... they said they don't honor black-friday sales, but said I have 19 days left to return it; so I guess I'm going to have to do that. siphon the gas, run it dry, and return it.

I already ordered one from Menards, I just wont take it from them till I return the one to HD.

Buy it online and ask the store to hold it a few days. I bought one from fleet farm but it wouldn't fit in my suv so they're holding it until I can come back with a friends truck next week.

sorry, I edited my original comment; didn't see your response till now.

question is, do I remove the cab and return just the snow blower, or should I leave the cab on it and return the whole order? think they are going to say anything about the scratches from the cab install?

I'll try that then; id rather cancel the order at menards, then load the thing back into my pickup to return it.

Good for a new homeowner or young couple. $500 is fantastic for a snowblower. It doesn't cost 2 grand and have the bells and whistles but it'll do the job well. I have the Yard Machines, MTD variant, going on 10+ years of hard use and only had to repair it twice. Remember to run it on premium unleaded only for smooth, clean and reliable operation. Highly recommend.
