A year later, the R5 II seems like the one I want to end up with. (yes, at a huge uptick in price)
Years ago, I switched from my older Nikon equipment to the 6D. Despite it's focusing limitations, it affords me incredible images and handling.
I've been waiting for Canon to offer a camera that fills my desire for an upgrade. When available as refurbished, R6 II for $1500 is terrific.
I bought the EF>RF adapter when it popped up refurbished as well as the RP (to get a taste of RF).
I understood the RP is the low end and viewfinder and controls are disappointing.
In good light, it's okay, but in low light (with my L lens), my 6D blows it out of the water in spot focusing and speed.
So - if the refurb R6 II pops up at $1500 again, I'll buy it, sell my RP, and wait for the R5 II.
Long live the excellent Canon Refurbs!
