The DiscoverIt card finally has value this quarter for those that also have Target and Prime 5% cards. (Amazon & Target are Q4 5% categories.)

Edit: I did a chat on discover.com and asked if I could get a retention offer since I was considering cancelling and immediately got offered a bonus 3% extra Cashback for three months effective the next day. Worth a shot to get 8% CB with your Discover card instead of 5!

No. Target GCs do not get a 5% discount using the Red Card. But Discover Card will payback 5% for Target purchases this quarter.

this is the way to help offload some of those "excessive" target funds. find a good deal somewhere else (not very hard when target is involved) and then just go ahead and get it from target with a pm and using your target credits.

Yep - I pricematch with Amazon all the time and then use the Target Wallet Coupon Deals to save more. Ends up cheaper at Target than Amazon.

I do it at the checkout so it is super easy no hassles. Just show the Amazon App on your phone showing shipped by Amazon. You can also do it online via chat - you buy it first and request the price match and they credit back within 72 hrs.

Can I buy a $100 target gift card online and get it emailed to me. Then buy 4 $25 target gift cards at the store with the e-gift card later this week? Just feel lazy and don't feel like going in store to buy physical gift cards today or tomorrow.
Edit: reason for not ordering physical gift cards online is because it won't be delivered until 12/18 & I need them next week.

I don't think Target lets you buy gift cards using gift cards. However, you could use the e-gift cards to buy some merchandise. Then do a return and ask them to put the refund on a new physical gift card.
