This is what I am doing.
Though I really wish they would let you add more than one promotional code. Got three 100 point items, and hate that I will have to make 3 different orders within the 60 days to get them.

Was able to stack all 3 of these codes, plus last week's points deal that I'd redeemed for the free retro keychain, all together in one order. Order was $35.xx, qualified for free shipping. Free shipping stayed, even after codes lowered the total to under $35.

wow, can't believe this is still available. It used to only last for like an hour or two in previous years so got mine at 9 pm (PST) yesterday when the deal started. Per usual, the site was a shit show.

For those that have extra points on your account and you are just a few short to hit the 162 point tier again for an additional an $5 off code you can complete activities on the rewards page to bump you up 30-40 points. I also found you can scan any QR image on any lego instructions to register your lego set to your account for an additional 20 points (you can register as many sets as you want but hou only get 20 bonus rewards points on your first set registration). Hope this information helps someone.

Weird. Bought 3, go to check out but only 1 of the 3 codes works. The other 2 said "THIS PROMOTION CODE IS NOT VALID. PLEASE TRY AGAIN." The first one I tried said that.
