These companies have been turning me off from buying GCs because for whatever reason, they don't think it's a good idea to let you add the GCs to your account. Instead, I'm assuming you have to use them every time you order, which is annoying. Should be as simple as your account having a running GC balance, but I don't see any way to add it here.

You're thinking of Dominos pizza. Panda lets you add the GC to your account and apply it towards future purchases if you don't use them up in a single transaction.

Free bowl has an expiration date. I rather take a 20% discount.

Pro Tip: If you want to buy $100 (for example), you can add 0.01 to the gift card and the net balance is the same $80. You save $0.01. Slick deal.

Are you sure there's no fee for using PayPal? I've been bitten with a "fee" on my credit card and PayPal said it was because buying gift cards was like getting a cash advance.

100% no fee.
But your case may be a good data point. What was the merchant?

Never been hit with such a fee before for buying gift cards with a CC... definitely not the same as a cash advance. How exactly did you get "bit" by this?

Sorry, this was years ago so I don't exactly remember the merchant. I want to say it was for Noodles and Company gift cards (you click through from the Noodles website but it links to a third party gift card merchant).
That past experience has stayed with me and since then I've never purchased gift cards using PayPal.

$60 off 300 with another 5% off of that with Chase freedom these are a great deal. I probably had 20 $5 two item plates after the dodgers win. Being able to use the discount gift cards with a coupon code for a discounted order really makes it slick. Not to mention you can postpone your order up to a week.
