The subwoofer is great.Adorama and their customer support sucks. You may get a refurbished unit sold as new, so be careful.
Yeah I would have preferred to go with http://acousticsounddesign.com (shipping is closer for me) and people seem to have better customer support just going straight through Klipsch.

Is this the sort of thing I could use REW for? Been thinking about getting into that.
To me I got the MiniDSP and REW to undo the Audyssey calibration to my bass shakers and to smoothen out my response curve for the subwoofer. I also added a very slight house curve to the subwoofer since I already use Audyssey Dynamic EQ which is pretty much an automatic house curve that adjusts based on current listening level. The house curve was just to add a little more bass to my liking.

There is an auto calibration called Audyssey One Evo you can look into. Need a receiver that supports Audyssey and MultEQ app. Didn't work for me since I have a lot of hard surfaces and open concept living room. Think there is too much reverberation in the measurements for the auto software to correct my measurements correctly. But if you have a dedicated room with carpet I'm sure it will make your setup sound amazing.

How would you know if it's refurbished when receiving it? States a klipsch 5 year warranty so would that be void if it's refurbished?

Real talk: this is almost identical to the RP-1600SW EXCEPT it only goes down to 16 Hz instead of 14.5 Hz. Is that extra 1.5 Hz going to make much of a difference?? My room is 20 x 15' so I don't think I need the extra power of 800w amp.
I got two of these 14s in my theater and they rock the house. Best bang for the buck subs right here.

Thanks for the tips! I've tried the MultEQ app on iOS and it was unworkable with my Denon X-3300. Couldn't get it to properly load the profile no matter what I tried. Very frustrating. Will look into these other options though!

If you're on the fence I would suggest you just pull the trigger because this is both a great subwoofer and a great price. A great subwoofer is key to really taking music or a HT to the next level.

Adorama eventually figured stuff out on my order but it required way too much leg work on my part. And a $700+ 50 lb subwoofer that's the size of a tank should not be delivered incorrectly.

Nope, I didn't use these for any critical listening or high power, these were just garage amplifier s used 2-3 times a month very moderately and still died.
No offense my guy but I'm having a hard time believing u spent 1.4k for 2 of these for just the garage. And then they magically died and u did what? Nothing? Just threw 1.4k away? I have a feeling u actually bought the older cheap models for less than half of one of these.
