Pretty normal "deal" price but with $100 giftcard + 15% cb + 9% dell rewards
If you already have dell account, check dell rewards for 10% alienware monitor off
There is current amex offer 50off 250 100off 500 and 10%off on amex business
5% off offers should be common throughout most other credit cards
my total was 700 - 10% - 15%cb - 10% amex business (and extra 100off from dell rewards that I got from desktop purchase) = 400ish aftertax + $100 dell giftcard
~600 after tax should be easily replicable
You will get extra 9% dell rewards off purchase today which will give you $157 total(including $100 gc) in dell, which you could buy extra monitor for dual monitor setup or there's plenty of interesting accessories throughout website.

Lots of stackables
Dell offer (via rewards offers) or student discount - 10%
A certain cashback site -15%
Card cashback - $50 or $100 off AMEX, 5% wellsfargo / BOFA, probably others like Citi and Chase
9% dell cashback if you count that
and now a $100 gift card? never thought i'd see so many offers for an oled monitor so fast

So I get that this has a super-high refresh rate. What happens if you are playing a game with a monitor that only has a RR of 75 Hz or less?

Depends on your budget and cc offers you got tbh. oled qhd 240 hz would serve needs for basically all people, but I'd get these unless you are very strict on $400 budget. If you have any credit card that got 5% dell cash back, it will bring it down to 500ish before tax (+ 630 * salestax) so around 550 after tax. So for basically around $100 more (unless you got some amazon offers), you get better panel with extra 120hz, better reliable warranty, and $155 as dell credit. You could either get some extra monitor, mic, or flip $150 monitor and just sell it $100 in local.

Refresh rate basically just means how many frames that you could see in a second. If you have a desktop that could generate 300 fps in a game but have a 60hz monitor, you'll see 60hz no matter what, works same vice versa. So it's better to balance that two off. It feels more smooth if you have higher refreshrate display, but it's harder to see difference for most people after 240hz. Most phones these days comes in 120hz display and you could probably tell the difference even when you just scroll a phone, it comes more handy in gaming!

I'd use this + 24 inch monitor in vertical and play full screen unless you really got some specific reason to run it as windowed. Also I would hold on till monday just in case if cb goes back up to 15%. it's down to 10% now

Too bad it's not 4k. I can't ever find just the right monitor. I'd get the 32, but I think for me that is too big and even 27 is too big, but going down to 24 means no oled OR 3k either one. And I have multiple amex offers, multiple 5% ones, the 10% alienware offer, etc... too...

I don't think 4k exists for 24in? Most people consider that too small to have a meaningful difference between 1440p and 4k. Even at 27in, 4k or 1440p is not a big difference. Personally, 27in, 1440p at 240hz/360hz is the sweet spot.
As another poster said, waiting for tomorrow for the cb to hopefully go back up to 15% then I'm pulling the trigger on this one!

I sit literally a few inches from it, though, so I am guessing I would still notice. I have a vision issue so have to sit close, but I think my vision still will allow me to see the difference in res, but only when up close like that.

I think I saw ONE lone 24 inch 4k one somewhere a few months ago, but can't remember what it was. Would be nice to at least get a 27 4k oled. I am tempted on the 32 or 34 inch ones, but not sure.
