7.3 score on Rtings. Has QLED but no local dinning. IMO, not worth the premium over the $548 Hisense at Walmart.

Electronic Express has this TV for 699.99 in store purchase only. YMMV with stocking

The Walmart Hisense (R6) for $548 is only 60hz compared to the TCL @ 120hz. Big difference...

Only if you game on it, and only if you want to take the quality hit for the fps gain which isn't always worth it.

If you're gonna pay $800 for this good TV, you might as well spend $100 more and get the much better Hisense U7N from from Best Buy, Amazon or Costco. (Costco's comes with an extended warranty and a $100 Google Play gift card.)

The Hisense beats it by over a full point in almost every category (other than the pre-calibration rating.)

FWIW... the $900 U7N you mention is for the 75". Some might be looking for an 85" as in this thread, and the 85" U7N is $1300. Also, the U7N Rtings review you mention is for the 65" with a VA panel, and the 75" uses an ADS panel with worse contrast than the VA panel tested. Rtings even says it performs a bit differently, and with their rating criteria favoring higher contrast, the 75" version, while it will still score higher than this TCL Q6 series, will undoubtedly score less favorably than the U7N VA panel they reviewed.

You're right, thanks for the correction. I did end up buying the 85" R6 from Walmart for my bedroom and had a chance to compare it to my 85" U7K which is in the well-lit living room. Blacks and contrast are definitely better as expected, but overall I'm very happy with the R6 at less than half the price of the U7K. In my case I only watch movies and shows, so I don't think the refresh rate makes any difference for my use case. It probably will for sports and gaming.

The best use I've gotten out of 120Hz for gaming is running quality mode at 40Hz from a PS5. That actually improves the graphics at the expense of a slightly lower frame rate than 60.

I was going back and forth on this but they charge $50 delivery for my address, and I am not willing to go to a different city to pick up. When I had a different zip code listed, it did show free delivery though.
Edit - It looks like they charge shipping for TVs over 51" if beyond 35 miles from store. My house is 36 miles from store lol. But I swear I always had the free shipping options for them before. Oh well.
