Dollar General is 20% off physical in store right now but it's in $10 increments and a bigger pain in the butt. Losing 5% of the discount might be worth it for far less hassle.

Dollar General is 20% off physical in store right now but it's in $10 increments and a bigger pain in the butt. Losing 5% of the discount might be worth it for far less hassle.

Unfortunately a lot of dollar generals only do cash for gift card purchases (they say to avoid stolen credit cards being used) so cash back with say something like a credit card wouldn't stack at dollar general for some people

Costco only accepts Visa, so any 5% CB would have to be a Visa, and allow the warehouse club category.

However, Citi Costco card with Executive membership gets you 4% cash back (2% from Citi and 2% from Cotsco).

Actually, our store started recently taking MasterCard (to our surprise), but it has to be a debit card.

Weird. I've never had an issue using my various cards at countless Dollar Generals for the last 4-5 years. Only issue I ran into one time was my card declined (probably protection) after buying a bunch so I used a different card and it went fine. 🤷 ♂️

This is the best deal from a legit retailer, especially if you don't want to buy from Eneba. I doubt we will ever get the $80 deals we used to get in the past.
