They're very different. Apple watch (non-ultra) is a smart watch that has some fitness. Epix is a fitness/survivalist watch with some smart functions. Depends on what you prefer.

Price mistakes that didn't even last 30 minutes.

Difference is battery life and the inability to use as a cellphone. If you run with your phone near you, Garmin is a no brainer. If you use only your watch to run, I'd go for an Apple Watch with cellular.
No brained regardless of where your phone is unless you make calls or listen music, although I think it does the latter.

Too bad its not the PRO version. I had snagged this deal for $50 at Bass Pro but they cancelled my order, so now I'm glad that they did.
Found out later that the PRO is different and better in important ways. I'm new to Garmin watches so I had to do quick research and found out that I'm looking for the HRV sensors that mostly come with the higher end Fenix series and the Epix Gen 2 PRO

In for two. Santa is being nice to the wife and I this year. Both avid hikers. I have a fenix 6, this will be a nice upgrade and the wife will get her maps she's been asking for. hope it's not too big for her wrist. WM has the free returns until January. so we're safe there. Thanks OP

If you're looking for a Garmin and you have a Chase Sapphire credit card, check your Chase Offers for the Backcountry.com deals.

Backcountry has various Garmins going in and out of stock and on sale / off sale. If you catch in-stock, on-sale, and potentially 10% or more from popular cash-back sites, you can get very very slick deals.

$424 all-in for Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar for this guy.

Might even be able to leverage some discounted GCs for part of the cost above and beyond whatever you need for the Chase offer.

According to garmins website. It looks like the part number that's listed (010-02582-20) is the sapphire edition.
