I just want to use this has a home computer.....surf the web.....attach it to a docking station and attach 2 monitors. Will this laptop do this?
Yes but probably overkill. A sub-$500 laptop could easily do what you need

Are the RAM and HD soldered? That the key questions

Edit. YES to both per spec sheet.

Memory Slots:
Memory soldered to systemboard, no slots, dual-channel

Max Memory:
32GB soldered memory, not upgradable
Storage. 1TB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe® 4.0x4 NVMe®
Storage Support
One drive, up to 1TB M.2 2242 SSD

Storage Slot
One M.2 2280 PCIe® 4.0 x4 slot
All the laptops in the thin & light category have soldered RAM AFAIK. It's an annoying trend but understandable to achieve the small form factor. To get RAM slots you'll need to look at gaming laptops or heavier models.

Geez. I'm so glad that mine aren't as I got it back in BF2020 for sub $380 brand new at Walmart.

The Acer Swift Go with Ultra 9 and 32GB at Costco for $699 is probably better.
I am worried about Acer's heating and other issues mentioned by other reviewers.
This might be a good fallback if that doesn't work out.

The Lunar Lake 2 w/ the best-in-the-game 500-nit, 120Hz LED screen at 2880x1880 is a way better computer than this for $200 more from Best Buy, picked one up and it's mind-bogglingly good. I've never had a Windows laptop where I could actually be happy using the keyboard and trackpad for extended periods of time. This thing FUQS

I have Aspire 1, Aspire V5 and Spin 5. Never have issues with heating tbh. Not sure if this is model specific

Anyone know how this would compare to the $760 MSI Summit E14 Flip EVO w/:
Intel Core i7-1360P
32GB Memory 1 TB NVMe SSD
Intel Iris Xe Graphics
Touchscreen
2880 x 1800

Been out of the components loop for a while so not sure how the CPU/GPU compare. And how does MSI build quality compare to Lenovo?
This one is better. Processor on this one is 2 generations newer, and this has a shockingly capable integrated GPU. I have a laptop with this processor and intel arc combo, I'm surprised how good it is. I built my own computers for reference so I'm familiar with hardware!

Yes it will. This is a great laptop for that. I work IT doing infrastructure and development and use a Dell laptop with the exact same specs, this is a solid spec sheet.
