I bought this open box "excellent" this morning. Is it going to play anything in 1440 or 4K, no.... but budget 1080 gaming with 12gb of DDR5 you can't really find much cheaper than this I feel like.

If so, this LOQ one has a much better screen, slower proc, more ram but probably less battery life due to no iGPU and at the same time smaller battery.
Assuming primary purpose is gaming, I would hands down take this one for $30 more as I doubt the battery & processor difference would be that tangible on a gaming machine. The extra RAM and nicer screen on this LOQ would be a big benefit IMO.

And while I'm here, for anyone thinking about buying this.. you can also buy from Lenovo.com with Pick Up @ Best Buy. You will at minimum earn Lenovo Rewards, but also if you have benefits on any of your cards it should stack (Chase Ink offering 15% $100 max reward @ Lenovo.com as example for some).
Also potential other CB offers could stack but I'm not clear if they would work on BB deals since it applies code BBYBOPIS which is not listed on CB sites. But would be a mega win if so

If you don't plan on gaming you may as well save the $$ and get a laptop more suited to battery life like the one you bought. Either will excel hardware wise to the task you mentioned.

Just want to add my two cents....

Lenovo LOQ is actually an AMAZING deal to begin with. This is considered a budget gaming laptop but it is pretty solid and has gotten very good reviews.

Defiantly one of the better laptop deals around.

I am pretty sure that all Lenovo LOQ's have a MUX switch. Point is... this laptop probably has a better battery life then the other laptop if you use the MUX switch to turn off the GPU and use the GPU which is built into the CPU.

these amd cpu don't have integrated gpu. Think some other reviewers suspect they are bin/imperfect chips of another line
