I had an upper-level Sony TV that lasted just 2 years and Sony told me that I should have not expected the TV to last longer than 2 years ????

Damn! That's the whole reason I wanted the g3 lol. Now I gotta dish out more money for the lg mount. If I can even find it.

I have the G2 version of this. I like it a lot, and it's good (for a tv) for gaming too. We have a lot of windows in the living room it's in and I don't have an issue with not being able to see the screen due to light/glare

Totally flush could possibly reduce lifespan and some space is likely better than keeping all the heat in place to do it's damage.

No need to worry about this. The TV is designed to be flush mounted against the wall. It's one of the few OLED's that has a heat sink to dissipate heat (Sony A95 being another). When you look at the G4 from a side profile you will see a small gap between the display and the wall for the heat sink which sends any warm air out the sides.

Forgot about the sink - good call - but also agree a gap for circulation is advisable. Seems the stock mount allows for some but a little more wouldn't hurt either IMO if going with an aftermarket mount.
