This game is awesome just played it on a camping trip, especially fun intoxicated with lots of lying and backstabbing. We're all in our early and mid thirties fwiw

This is such a great small group game! Easy and quick to learn (with 6 included cards that show the rules), but the bluffing adds depth and replayability. Each game goes fast… you'll probably play multiple rounds!

Players draw two cards, each representing an agent with an offensive or defensive ability. Each player also starts with two cardboard "coins." The goal is to make the other players reveal and lose their two cards to make them "out," last man standing wins. Players take turns, one action per turn, either passively saving up coins for assassination or the unblockable "coup," but any player still in the game is able to challenge card ability actions as a bluff, and getting caught bluffing or challenging the truth causes a card reveal/loss.

I'd consider this a household staple for entertainment, after a standard card deck. Also a good icebreaker, you get to know people by their banter, bluffs, and alliances/betrayals.

The youth at my church love this game. They play it more than any of the dozens of other card/board games we have.

I've played this game a few times now - and agree it CAN be fun. You need to play with a group of folks who are willing to lie/bluff, otherwise this becomes a monotonous, boring few minutes. Great game with the right group (and enough people!).

Excellent fun. In terms of fun per dollar, it's hard to beat this deal. Thanks OP - picking up a couple copies

Don't we live in a dystopian universe? What do I need a card game for?

This game teaches the more important fundamentals to the youth! Such as, always start by pretending your the treasurer. This ensures you can take money out of the bank for a while until you pretend you are something else.

This is a great twist on the "social deception" game genre. Rounds are quick and the ability to swap roles mid-game makes it much more engaging than others where you can't do much once somebody knows who you are.

The only downside is that in bigger groups, you can't really control whether you win or lose. It's mostly influenced by the group. But again, this is also a plus, because you can often play "kingmaker" even if you know you can't win lol.

My best guess is they mean Coup: Rebellion G54 [boardgamegeek.com].

Similar game but you can make different decks with other roles. My group honestly just sticks to the original as a quick filler but if you like mixing things up, it can add options.
