Anyone try this brand before? Is this a good price on two pounds of chia seeds?

I bought it on sale in 2020 (edit: iirc, I paid $5.25). Enjoyed it in oatmeal for close to three years (Put in freezer for longer shelf life). Will buy again-- not a bad sale price

Yes, Great price. I have purchased several jugs of these for my daily Chia Oatmeal. They are good quality and an established brand, and were rated well by Consumer Lab. I generally buy from Costco now as a 3lb bag is $8.49, and find they have less foreign matter.

3lbs at $8.49 seems like a much better deal if it's better quality

My local Costco only has 3lb bag of Mayorga Organics for $8.49. On the Costco App, select the WHAREHOUSE icon at the bottom to see what your local one has.

they really should be kept frozen or in the refrigerator. They can go rancid pretty quickly and taste rancid.

good to know. I still have my container from 2020 but haven' used them as was wondering how to tell if they were bad. I'll keep this new one in the freezer.. good suggestion!

Good price, we've been using this brand for 6 months or so.

My Costco now has their 3lb organic FYI as someone else mentioned - I think its $8.49. I've not seen it in the stores for a while now.

I throw a few spoons in everything I bake, especially into my bread machine as add-on ingredient. Great quality. Store it outside the fridge and it has been fine for over a year now.

I bought last year and this year as well. No issues. I use it for oatmeal and at time for overnight oats (mason jar, chia seeds, greek yogurt, honey, berries, water). And sometimes just add them to water and let them soak in fridge.

Same experience here with stems and sand in this product, read the Amazon reviews.
I did keep the plastic jar from this amazon junk & refill with bags from a better sources.

No complaints with the "Volupta" brand organic chia seeds sold at Costco.

FYI: Great Value Chia seeds from Walmart were recalled earlier this year for salmonella. [fda.gov]
