Looks like you can activate the plan and install sim in any phone. Iphone 13 will need to connect to a visible network with some plan to get unlocked after 60 days.

I found this info on reddit. Maybe I'm wrong.

Number 5 hasn't been true for a few years. Port in from Google Voice will not get you the promo (been doing this since 2019). See the approved carrier list on this page:

Does anyone know how the trade-in works for this? I can get $100 for trading in an old iPhone 11, but it just shows up as -100 and it still wants to charge $395 for the service, so I don't know how this would work since the phone is already free.

Customer service is trash. I am stuck with porting from Mint-Mobile and it's been a week.

Can't even find any help. I don't even know if I can return it at this point, or get a new number instead.

You will get the amount back on the form of payment that you used to pay the $395.
