How would they credit 100$ for my older phone?
Anyone know how strict they are with trade ins? I have a phone with a decent sized crack on the back glass (away from the camera) but front glass and functionality is fine. capital one is offering $60 rewards, so if I can trade in this old phone for $100, it'd be a mighty good deal.
Unfortunately, Visible chat can't say one way or the other. "Major damage for a trade-in means that the phone has numerous cracks resulting for the phone to be unfixable. Other than that, it is also considered as a major dmage if the phone has been exposed to water and that the screen can't be navigated" "In the end, it's up to Assurant. If their revised offer is too low, you will need to return the Iphone 13 to receive your trade in phone back." Definitely don't like that last part!
This phone will turn on and stay on
There isn't any kind of liquid damage
The phone is free of major physical damage
The screen is functional and is free of cracks and damages
There is a FAQ with lots of info about the trade-in process: https://www.visible.com/help/trade-in

The trade-in is handled by a third party (Assurant) and I'd read some complaints online, so that's why I didn't put much thought into doing a trade-in for my first two orders. But our iPhone 5 are of no value nor use to us so I figured even if it gets rejected it's no loss to us. There's just a tiny bit of sentimental value which I'm sure I will quickly get over once I receive the $100.
