I have been shopping around for my sons first phone for Christmas. Nothing really beats this that I have seen in the past week or so. You get a decent free phone and no monthly credits. Good service and data also. I did have to sign up for service at Tello and port the number over. That was an extra $5 of cost for my situation.
Mint was $200 after fees/tax for their unlimited plan, but that was with no phone.

You are wrong about the approved carrier list in regards to the cheer promo. Any carrier is okay for the port for this specific promotion. I talked to a rep to verify before order.

A non cellular watch can still work with the phone but it doesn't require a plan since it lacks cellular functionality.

Talked to Visible CS. They said all the devices allocated for this are out of stock now. They said they planned to run a promotion through Dec 9, which is why the coupon code still works, but they did not expect so many people to like the deal. And said sorry

Same issue sorta. Ported out 5 numbers. Brought back 3. The other 2 would just not process. They'd instantly cancel the port in and cancel the order. Tried everything. Different emails, addresses, credit cards, names. No joy. Chatted with support and it was worthless. Gotta send request to higher dept and they'll work on it. Gotta wait 3 days. Blah, Blah, Blah. Knew I'd miss out. It's all part of the game. 3 out of 5 ain't bad. Probably moving the last 2 over to Total for the half off deal. Or maybe the visible offer comes back. Who knows.
