I purchased this "new" when it was on sale in September. It was clearly used and would only duplicate my Mac, not extend. I now see it says "Note: Due to the limitation of macOS itself, all extended screen content will be the same." on the product page. Defeats the purpose for my needs. I returned it.

I ordered one in November and it was also used. The box was kept together with scotch tape.

I don't know what's more disturbing, Apple doing this to iDiots or iDiots blaming other companies for it. Smilie Buddy, you're in an abusive relationship! Apple writes software (i.e. they make an effort) to do this to you. Even a $300 Windows laptop from 10 years ago is capable of driving three extended external screens. One does not need to buy the $3,000 "Ultra Pro Max" to have a decent computing experience. And these iDiots band over and say: "Please, Sir, I want some more." shake head
You're so smart. How can we all be as smart as you?

The pubic hair reaction comments are better than the deal itself. Comedy by Slick Deals community.

Never blamed the company for the extended issue. Stated this came used when I paid for new and didn't know I could not extend my Mac using a dock at the time. So I returned it. I said all this to be informative and share my experience, as one does on SD.
Also, my employer gave me the Mac.. my personal laptop is Windows. I was just hoping to clean up the pile of chords on my desk. I already have 5 screens extended no problem.

Did you find one that extends for less than $30?

If this has no external power supply, how does it provide power to the PC via the 100w PD port?
I don't have this but I assume it work just like any other docking station. You plug it in to your laptop and plug the power supply to the dock.

I'm just using individual adapters right now for each screen. I have an older Mac so it doesn't have the capability to extend all from a single docking station. This dock is how I learned that.

Ah, perhaps the review/comment I read about it not having an external power supply simply meant there is no other "brick" other than the dock itself. Yes, I'd assume the same as you, that some power supply would have to go to the dock... and the dock power the PC. Just was confused by a comment I read.

MacOS doesn't support daisy-chaining over the regular USB-C, only with the Thunderbolt dock (which costs 5-10x $$$ compared to this device)
I have a 4 or so year old Aukey that extends my M3 screen.. it was like $10

It can take 100W and outputs 85W per the photographs.
