It good idea, but never workout. I bought few set over the years with similar concept. Unfortunately, when the light out nothing work so now I just have few flashlights near the bed and few spots round the house when light out.
I also have these, paid like $2 each 4-6 years ago… im amazed they still sell them. I don't think they are worth this price. They stay plugged in and never stop charging. The lighting is okay.
I purchased a 3 pack of these exact same lights over a year ago. So far my experience has been very positive with them. I leave them plugged in the wall outlet at strategic locations (with switch ON per instructions) and they have yet to fail to immediately come on when an outage occurs (and we have frequent outages). They also seem to hold a charge very well as they will shine for several hours during an outage. While I will agree that they are not nearly as bright as some newer flashlights, I find that they work very well for their intended purpose which is to provide some emergency lighting during an outage so that you are not left in total darkness. My opinions FWIW.
Some people are completely missing the point here. This is their purpose:
You leave these plugged into live outlets around your home switched into the on position. The light output will remain off while 110v is being provided while they maintain a full battery. When the power goes out, they all turn on, lighting your house and giving you easy to find flashlights. They are not great flashlights by any measure, but their utility is the point and they have been 100% reliable for me for the last few years, and having one in each kids' room is the perfect place for me. You can't go wrong at this price point which is what I paid in 2022. With the kids using them the whole time the power is out, we have yet to run any of them out of their charge, so they seem efficient.
