I just ordered the A1 Combo with AMS, last night before the BF sale expired and thought the price got dropped as well like on the A1 Mini. However i paid $449 plus shipping while this sale is now $489...So i guess i can come down and not freak out i overpaid and need to contact Bambu for a price adjustment.
Smilie. I thought the same for my P1S but I saw the real prices

I did say only A1 Mini got lowered in the original post Smilie. I should make it clearer Smilie

Is it worth it to get it with the AMS for someone getting this as a beginner?

HAHA! I have 2 printers now... I want to get a 3rd from flashforge that has AMs built in but it is OOO. I am finding new ways to find what I want to print... inspiration, needs, household stuff, toys! ART too!!!

I am working on a flow where I can queue up what I want to print and organize it so I. can always start a print instead of searching for it on the fly. I also will get someone at home to help me move the build plate (buy more probably easier) so I can be away and send prints! I'm going nutz...

I grabbed 0.2 and 0.6 hot ends during the sale. 0.2 would be good if I need to print very small items for a finer print.

P1S hot ends take more work to switch with a couple of cables.
Thanks. I didn't check out the hotend pricing during the Black Friday sales. Right now it's by 2 save 10% and 20% if buying 3. Is that comparable to the BF sales? I would have a hard time paying more today than I could have yesterday lol

What do most people use the 0.6mm for?

It's all good, some of us just dont or cant read. Because the A1 mini had a price drop and you included all the other models. The assumption was they got dropped in price as well, and now it's a race to remember what did i pay for mine and can i get a price adjustment if this is lower...or so goes the thought process.

This A1 Mini with the single feed is an inexpensive and reliable starter printer.

Something to note about the A1 mini Christmas Bundle specifically - the shipping cost for this (in US 48 contiguous states) is $30. The A1 mini alone is $15 shipping and the A1 mini Combo is $20 shipping (even the A1 mini Combo Christmas Bundle is $20 shipping).

At first glance the A1 mini Christmas bundle looks like amazing value if you want those colors, essentially getting 4 spools for $10 each, but with added shipping it turns into about $14 per spool (plus tax). This is still better than the best bulk discount which is $16 each, but if the Xmas colors aren't ideal you may prefer to get the A1 mini alone and spend a few extra dollars and get the ones you want. Plus the Christmas bundle is listed as "Pre-Order" while A1 mini is "In Stock", so you may get the A1 mini earlier.

I just got a P1S combo during the BF sale and when I saw the A1 mini Xmas bundle I considered getting it just due to the great value for the filament and getting a super cheap extra printer along with it. Still considering it but the value is a bit lower due to extra shipping costs.

I read/saw. faster prints but people have tested it, it's not like 50% faster.

Some people like the bigger grooves it creates, almost like stacking lines of noodles on top of each other. I saw that on a 0.8 hot end comparison video somewhere.

Some people do 0.8 for prototypes then 0.4 or 0.2 for the FINAL print.

I will become an expert one day sucking in all of the info from here and youtubes and my experiments and figure out what's true and good for me.

If you bought something that is not A1 Mini during Black Friday, you got a GREAT DEAL!!!!

if you bought A1 Mini, try contacting them for a $20 credit! Good luck!

I WOULD, you will find some sample prints that uses 2 colors. In certain situations you can swap colors, in some situations you cannot.

If I do it again today, I would always get a printer with AMS. It's good for multi-color or just allow you to print continuously if the first filament runs out and AMS will pick up the 2nd spoor of the same color automagically

BF sale had hotends as buy 1 get 15% off, buy 2+ get 25% off, at least in the US. I found the sale page here: https://us.store.bambulab.com/pag...conditions

FYI the P1S comes with a spare 0.4mm hotend. This is the hotend only so you'd have to do the manual replacement which is a bit more involved than replacing the complete hotend.

I just got a P1S combo myself (hasn't arrived yet) and wanted to get at least a 0.2mm complete hotend but it's out of stock. I might wait until later to see if it comes back and then get that plus a 0.6mm together. It's more expensive but I'd prefer to have the complete hotends available for easier swaps.

Get the 4 color bundle for $219.
Absolutely fantastic choice.
I got an Ender 3 V3 SE & then an A1 Mini a month or so later. It is incredible. And far superior in every single way, just a little smaller.

I would say yes...AMS isn't just for multi-color prints, it's also super nice to have 4 colors loaded to print in a certain color/material. My printer is in a different room/floor than my PC so I just send prints to it and it's nice to have 4 options...or more if I buy another AMS for my P1S (only P1/X1 can run more than one AMS).

Picked up the P1S as soon as the BF sale started (in October I think?), been printing mostly ABS/ASA with it and it rocks!

Haters gonna hate, but at $199 refurb'd, the E3V3+ is a seriously under-rated printer.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/356005501643

It prints just as well as my A1.

Thanks OP. Need to spread some rep around before hitting you up again (so says SD lol),Thinking about getting some hot ends other than the .4mm that came with my P1S. Anyone know how long the original hotend that comes with the printer lasts? I'm printing close to 24/7 lol and not sure if I should by a backup just yet (printer is a few weeks old). I
Make sure you align the build plate on top. Otherwise it will grind down the hot end during the cleaning process and last like 3 weeks. Mistake I made 😁
