Just curious, but if you don't eat junk food, why would you open a McDonalds deal alert, read all the comments, and reply? It would seem like a waste of your time, imo.

This deal is for a Double Cheeseburger, not a "mcdouble". Try to stay on topic.
And that individual would have been way off as well. In my area, a McDouble is $0.30 cheaper and 50 calories less.

hilarious! the McDouble is similar to a Double Cheeseburger but with one less slice of cheese.it's so thin and tiny, that i think it's painted on.
So it's not similar because it has one less slice of cheese? "It is similar" is an expression not to be taken as literal. If it was similar, you would not have written anything because it would be exactly the same.

These deals really serve as a reminder at how weird of a concept inflation is. You don't have to go back to the 1980s to remember these double cheeseburgers being cheaper. Even in the 2010s they were on the dollar menu lol. Menu price over $2 now.
Not always the case. It depends on where you are in the U.S. and what you are using as a standard. In 1938, a cheeseburger was $0.19 on $0.30/hr. Today, a cheeseburger where I am is $2.19 on $7.25/hr. To be like what it was, the cheeseburger would have to be priced at $4.59. I feel like peoples' math skills are getting better over the generations....

No salt and they give you a fresh one instead of one from the warmer
This is what I do every single time on the rare occasions I eat there!

I've downloaded several fast food apps and McDonald's is by far the best for discounts. Not the best for you of course...but great daily deals.

There is always a mistake when you have to pay for toppings. I know I did this just because I wanted to try a McCrispy, modify it, and see what a foreign sandwich would taste like combining two of them. They ended up forgetting to add a sauce and take off onions. You end up paying for the toppings and the less toppings they put on it means you are essentially paying more for the item than if you had not modified it, period.
I hear you but in this case I specifically choose toppings that do not have any additional charges. So, no harm, no foul, but I can't have cheese so that was extra annoying to peel it off the patties.

You can use 5 accounts per phone. I have 2 phones so I'll be camping out in the parking lot and going for 10. Get them without ketchup mustard and pickles to store later. Happy slick dealing!!!
How are you doing this? Because even when switching accounts, it still wants me to wait 15 minutes per phone

Ordered 2 doubles with no salt, they tasted ok going down, but felt like digesting cement bags an hour or so later.

Strong disagree. Wendy's and Jack in the Box take the Cake. Weekly 4 tacos for $0.99 at Jack in the Box, lots of items for $1 with purchase, and the same for Wendy's. And, you get far better quality. Of course, we can which of the bottom tier food providers is better but their app deals are lower cost and far more consistent for higher quality food imho.

I finally had taken advantage of this deal today. I also caved and bought myself a large drink for $1.39.
Back in 1940s, a hamburger was $0.15 and a cheeseburger was $0.19 on a wage of $0.30/hr. At the location I am at, a cheeseburger is $2.19 and a hamburger is $1.89. Double cheeseburger is $3.19. Using deductive reasoning, cheese is probably $0.20 to add and since a double cheeseburger uses 2 slices of cheese, another $0.20. Double cheeseburger with one patty and two slices of cheese would be $2.59. Add another beef patty for $0.60 to get $3.19. So a double cheeseburger in 1940 (if it was on the menu, would be $0.23 with one beef patty and two slices of cheese). I am guessing $0.28 with two patties and two slices of cheese.
Anywho, my meal would have cost $0.28 plus $0.10 on $0.30/hr. I spent $2.00 with tax on $7.25/hr. (although, I make like 3 times that after taxes). So I did not break the bank.

I wish McD's allowed you to establish an account online and use the web to make orders like BK and Wendy's does. I hate apps.
