I hope the 'special-offer' link uses the same payer such that it'd trigger the offer on Amex - any data points are welcome.
I have seen ADs for this product and also read through the features list. It seems to be a combo of Identity theft monitoring (Darkweb alerts) + VPN + Credit Bureau monitoring alerts.
I think Discover and some Mastercard credit cards offer Darkweb alerts for free, CreditKarma provides Credit Bureau alerts (when a soft/hard pull is made) and for VPN - I have a paid product. Other than the $1M Identity Theft protection insurance, is there any reason to sign-up for this service? Evan at an effective price of $12, if there are only redundant features - I don't see why someone would want to pay for this. Do they do these things in a significantly better way compared to others, that warrant us to pay for a subscription for the same features?
(I also noticed password manager as a feature - but I'm not inclined towards using a pwd manager tied to an expensive bundle of paid services - I don't want to be forced to continue this just for the convenience and continuity of that feature)
