As per ChatGPT, Several ingredients listed on the package can raise concerns for some people, depending on individual health conditions, sensitivities, and preferences. Here's a breakdown:

Sugar Alcohols (Sorbitol, Xylitol, Mannitol)

Pros: Often used as sugar substitutes, they have fewer calories and are generally safe in small amounts. Xylitol, in particular, is known to improve dental health.

Cons: Large amounts can cause gastrointestinal issues like bloating, gas, or diarrhea. People with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) might be more sensitive.

Artificial Sweeteners (Acesulfame Potassium, Sucralose)

Pros: Provide sweetness without calories. Approved for use by regulatory agencies like the FDA.

Cons: Some studies suggest they might affect gut bacteria, and long-term health impacts are debated. Some people report headaches or sensitivities.

BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene)

Purpose: Added as a preservative to maintain freshness.

Concerns: Some studies on animals suggest it may have potential carcinogenic effects, but human studies are inconclusive. People wary of synthetic additives might choose to avoid it.

Red 40 Lake

Purpose: Artificial coloring to enhance visual appeal.

Concerns: Linked to hyperactivity in sensitive children, though evidence is mixed. Some people avoid artificial dyes due to potential allergic reactions or sensitivities.

Soy Lecithin

Purpose: Emulsifier to keep ingredients mixed.

Concerns: Generally considered safe, but individuals allergic to soy may prefer to avoid it.

Glycerin and Gum Base

Generally safe. Gum base is not digested but passes harmlessly through the body.

Natural and Artificial Flavors

Concerns: "Natural" doesn't always mean better, and "artificial" can include synthetic chemicals. Potential sensitivities depend on the specific substances used, which aren't disclosed.

Thanks, OP (repped)! As to the outlandish comment about cigarettes being healthier (which is insanely ridiculous!), the cinnamon doesn't contain aspartame, which makes it safer to use than the other flavors (which do). No sugarless product is 100% safe....but comparing them to smoking cigarettes is ludicrous!

What's annoying about these coupon deals is that they're limited to one item!

So chew sugary gum and rot your teeth!....or smoke cigarettes, which, according to the 1st post here, is a healthier option than chewing gum!🤣
Here's an idea!...don't chew gum, don't smoke cigarettes and don't lecture others about ingredient lists! Thanks!😁

Around twice the price at Costco and BJ's, when they're not on sale. I chew them after meals, to help clean up stuff that gets stuck between teeth and in the gums, not in lieu of but in addition to flossing, brushing and mouthwash (which I now understand should be alcohol-free so you don't kill those bacteria that keep your BP low).

It's gum genius. Don't let it trigger you. Surely you have more important things in life to worry about.

Well, at least it's not sugar, and I like this flavor, and it helps me as I continue to try to have no sugar every day. It's a battle. Thumbs up for the price. Anybody criticizing the choice to purchase gum is free to speak their piece, but probably won't be listened to.

And yes, I recognize that there is gum that has fewer problematic ingredients. That gum, for the most part, is about two to three times as expensive as this. And unfortunately, like you, I don't have as much disposable income.
