Found an even better combo that stacks.

HOLIDAYSALE and CREW25 stack for even more. Works on the 2-3 shoes i tried.

I got this one down to 52.48 (more expensive initial price).

I have the waterproof version and like them.

https://www.catfootwear.com/US/en...lor=P74128

These are more comfy than the winter sperry boots that were posted here. Those are trash, can't hardly get my feet into them. The CAT have the first two laces as clasps which makes them easier to put on.

Here's my order info from 2023:

Threshold Waterproof Work Boot
Product Number: P74128
Color: Real Brown

Subtotal $62.97
Promotions Applied - $9.45
Tax $4.82
Shipping $0.00
Total $58.34

Poor quality apparently from Caterpillar. Read AMZ 1 Star (really Zero) reviews.

I also had a pair that didn't last after 3 months.

Cats were all i would wear when i was an ironworker. They were cost effective and comfy.

Rose anvil on youtube also reviewed them and gave them positive reviews.

It was a good idea to check the negative reviews on Amazon regarding these boots. I didn't think of that. For this model I purchased I did see a review stating the seem where they decided to stitch the leather begins to degrade over time. I'm located in the desert, so moisture isn't a big issue. I'll have to keep them clean and dry. It varies depending on the work being done and whether or not people take care of their purchases. Leather boots can usually last a while if they are conditioned every so often. Overall, they still have a lot of positive reviews. I'm not sure about the quality control from Cat Footwear. I'll have to see how well they hold up in my environment. I'm working in residential construction; I was originally looking for a composite toe boot from Wolverine but decided I would get something lighter and more affordable and hopefully more comfortable for working on the roof or ground level.

Cat has a boot finder that could narrow down the type of boot necessary for your work's footwear demand. Perhaps the kind of boot/shoe you had was made for something less demanding?

I think I found the video you are talking about. I like the first 5 seconds of it. It's a CAT vs Timberland Boot, and He's cutting them straight in half, lol!

I used the two codes to get a pair of thresholds for $49. Had them before. These are my favorite pair of boots I've ever had. Very comfortable for me and lighter than other steel toed boots I've had. They may not last as long as some others but they are regularly on sale in the $75 range. At that price I'll buy them to last 1-1.5 years all day long. Also, I wear them a LOT so they go through punishment.

I used the thresholds on a roof a couple times, had to take em off. Couldn't keep them from damaging the roof. Im not a professional roofer tho, maybe you have a better technique than me. Smilie. Love the boots tho… see my other comment. The only care they get from me is a spray from the hose every once in a while.

The brand was great 10-15 years ago and are now absolute trash and you're lucky to make it through one winter with them. I'll also add another once well respected, composite/steel toe boot manufacturer that's also circling the toilet bowl is Keen. If you're in any kind of construction trade, avoid both brands.
