How does this compare to Husky's lifetime warranty? Surely not (though hopefully) as seamless as going to HD and swapping out if your ratchet breaks or 10mm cracks?

A few months ago I bought the DeWalt 215(?) PC set for $65 on eBay that didn't come with a closing case (more like shelves) that works with DeWalt/Craftsman rolling crates, but an actual case is tempting..

Looks like you have to send in parts with you paying for shipping if you want to use the warranty. Not as convenient as the other brands that you can just drop off at the store.

Anyone know the quality of HART? Its not "cheap" stuff that will eat away at the screw/socket?

Dang, that does suck... Maybe I'll stick with the DeWalt set or wait for Husky deal. Though I haven't broken too many things since beginning casually wrenching on cars 11 years ago, except maybe some Auto Zone torx bits and losing a million 10mm... definitely a good price here though - usually these type of kits are "on sale" at $99

I'd consider it but I can guarantee you the shipping will make it absolutely not worth it. I'm in northern WA

Solid deal. I bought this at $99. My only grips are it's missing pliers and the latches for the drawers will be a weak point in the future as they are only small plastic tabs. I expect them to break with repeated use.

Who really cares about a warranty on these tools. Other than the ratchets why waste your time nobody is calling these BIFL.

I have this set and the quality is good for the price. I also have Craftsman from when it was made in USA, Snap-On, Wright and DeWalt sockets/ratchets and the Hart set holds it own, although not quite the same quality as Snap-On or Wright. But in many years of home ownership and car, boat and tractor work, the only failure of any socket or ratchet of any brand that would be covered under warranty, was the ratcheting mechanism on an 80-year-old Snap-On ratchet I inherited from my grandfather.

HART is owned by TTI, the same people who own Milwaukee and Ryobi. Probably a step above the "cheap" no name stuff.

In for one! I've had a Stanley 73795 mixed set for years, but I've been wanting to get rid of redundant items and get a wider selection of sockets. Nice!
