Just had a 9-series Hisense die after 2.5 years (still trying to swap the mainboard to save it for $100), but figured I'd try a cheap TCL 65" QLED.

It's a reasonable step down from my H9G (400 vs.1000 nits) but at this price and my $200 BB gift card from my pixel 9 pro purchase, it's almost disposable.

Still trying to figure out why there is a big difference on Rtings between this and the Q5 w. google (7.3 vs. this at 6.9).

This also makes no sense to me. However I noticed that the fire tv is edge rather than direct light for the Google

Also have an H9G that crashed out at about the same timeframe. Let me know if you find a mainboard. It doesn't look like they're available anywhere.

Went with an ebay repair service where you have to remove, mail it in, and reinstall after they swap memory chips and send it back (20 or so screws to remove/replace so not too tricky).

Won't know if it works for another week and a half, but figured this would be a good backup and I can setup in a guest room if it doesn't work out.

I know Fire OS is slow, but I have Apple TV, will I notice any downside with this TV coupled with Apple Tv?

In the specs it says it is a Standard LED display, and when you look at the comparison with the higher Q series they are all Qled. RTINGS appaerantly says all variants are qled. Confusing.

my H9G (purchased in 2019) is having issues too! It works, but the image is no longer sharp, its like all the words on the screen have a clone or something. Happens in both the home page and while playing shows/movies

Better brightness and contrast on this model. I believe this tv also has VRR up to 120hz for gaming. Not true 120hz panel though

Wow, I am actually surprised and flattered that you noticed and for being considerate. I am indeed spending an unhealthy amount of time (esp screen time) here on SD and browsing for deals. The hobby (craze at this point?) for tech in general is starting to take a toll on me. I'm just glad that I could help you guys (the buyers not the SD staff lol) in buying good items on good discounts.
