Don't do it. I'm on my third and it's also bad. System resets daily after changing MB, Memory, GPU, PSU, and cooling. Ready to trash and go with AMD.

At one point I was considering upgrading my i7 12th gen to 13/14th when they went on sale, but I haven't seen anything positive about either, only headaches.

Returned mine to Intel after the freezing BSOD errors. Got a refund, don't have time to play these games.

I haven't been keeping up w the specifics, but is it all 13/14 gen chips? Or just certain lines in 13/14? I have a 13th gen i3 in production, but haven't noticed any issues

AMD AM5 9900x is close to it's performance but uses 120watts less. It won't beat it but with 120 watt savings (all core under load) it might be just for you?

Black Friday Price was $382 but it looks like it's back to $400. It was introduced at $500 in August. At that price reviews were harsh. Don't know if anybody revisited the new 9 series w/ the new pricing.

So all cores under load the 9900x will pull 176 watts while the i9-13900k will pull 296 watts. This post is for the slightly faster KS version though...

The crappy thing about AM5 socket is that you can damage the socket pins easily so you have to be careful.

I've heard 13 and 14th gen i5 and i7s. I have 20 14th gen i5s w/o problems (knock on wood) but my counterpart with 70+ 14th gen i5s had BSODs all over the place. Dell support was useless. We don't have the exact same hardware but very similar specs.

yes it's only 13th-14th gen, intel is claiming that the problem is finally "fixed": https://www.reddit.com/r/intel/co...ility_has/

I have this CPU, it gets pretty hot and consumes a lot of energy but I've not had any stability issues that others have.
