  • This deal works out to $15 per month. A nice offer since Mint Mobile typically only offers this sort of promotional pricing on shorter duration plans.

I had Mint for one year until about 6 months ago. Two things made me switch to US Mobile: data prioritization and extra fees significantly increasing the price at renewal.

Data prioritization: I live in a semi-rural area, so the vast majority of the time this wasn't an issue. However, occasionally on weekends when people were home my phone data would slow to a crawl. Where it became untenable was during power outages (including lengthy ones during natural disasters). My phone data was literally useless. I couldn't even check the weather apps. This was my #1 reason for switching to an MVNO that included priority data.

Fees: US Mobile charges you the stated price, inclusive of taxes and fees. Mint's price was much higher than expected due to taxes and what seemed like extraneous fees.

So far I have much preferred US Mobile. Even though I have to use the Verizon network (slower data speeds) in order to get priority data, I haven't had any issues and it's still plenty fast. During the last major power outage I had zero issues with data. I plan to keep them when it comes time to renew.

Not really! There is a $25 "recovery fee" and other fees which might bring the mint deal within a few dollars of the visible one

When you go to this page, it states at the bottom T&C this is only for new customers. If you login to your account and try to find the discounted plan it is non-existent. If you know a workaround please let us know. Thanks.

Is it $180 for 12 months ($15 x 12) + $16.25 per month (recovery BS fee)? So real total is $31.25 per month? Are there more HIDDEN fees? Mint sounds shady with their DECEPTIVE marketing tactics if this is true. I'll stick with Visible since they are upfront about total cost.

Not 16.25/mo., flat

See HIDDEN, DECEPTIVE, section 10. of terms and conditions IF this is true

My existing 1 year mint 5gb plan is only renewing in March. I guess the minimum wait period to be new customer is 1 month after porting out? Any way to purchase this now and port later ?

Trying to figure that out. I messaged a mint customer service person on reddit who seems pretty active so I'm hoping they respond.
I filled out this form just now if you want to try

There's red text in wiki about referral, but CB is $10/line.
Anyone know which is actually better?

What plan would you use? Link? To upgrade my dad's phone, he would need a different plan ($$$) which defeats the phone deals

I've had this for two years. Been great for me! I had no problems in Ireland and Scotland. Sometimes I get better service than Verizon around here in Montana.

The recovery fee is a one time charge. Not a monthly charge. For the sake of discussion. Lets say the recovery fee is $24. So 180 + 24 = $204. $204 / 12 = $17 monthly. Still a sweet deal for Unlimited Text , Talk, 40 GB High Speed data.

I had MINT 12month plan which expired 3 months ago. I'm on Tmobile prepaid and if i get this, i will be considered new user right?

Paypal has split option but i doubt using paypal will trigger AMEX offer? Anyone had luck doing it?
I did that last week with the Pixel 9 offer, and it worked with no issue.

You meant that your split the payments last week via Paypal and your got credit from Amex without issue, right? If so, when we do split payment, can I split the pay between my Paypal account and my spouse Paypal? thanks.
