I had Mint for one year until about 6 months ago. Two things made me switch to US Mobile: data prioritization and extra fees significantly increasing the price at renewal.

Data prioritization: I live in a semi-rural area, so the vast majority of the time this wasn't an issue. However, occasionally on weekends when people were home my phone data would slow to a crawl. Where it became untenable was during power outages (including lengthy ones during natural disasters). My phone data was literally useless. I couldn't even check the weather apps. This was my #1 reason for switching to an MVNO that included priority data.

Fees: US Mobile charges you the stated price, inclusive of taxes and fees. Mint's price was much higher than expected due to taxes and what seemed like extraneous fees.

So far I have much preferred US Mobile. Even though I have to use the Verizon network (slower data speeds) in order to get priority data, I haven't had any issues and it's still plenty fast. During the last major power outage I had zero issues with data. I plan to keep them when it comes time to renew.

Not really! There is a $25 "recovery fee" and other fees which might bring the mint deal within a few dollars of the visible one

When you go to this page, it states at the bottom T&C this is only for new customers. If you login to your account and try to find the discounted plan it is non-existent. If you know a workaround please let us know. Thanks.

Got this yesterday, it works great. Would definitely recommend. Ported number in less than 5 minutes (after the hassle with TracFone to get my account details)

I forgot about that aspect!

If you don't care about the hotspot and use low data-infimobile has VZW 10GB/mo for $8.25/mo for 1yr.
That's ultimately what I'm going back to. Didn't realize that you could just renew your plan under promo pricing so I snagged visible $15/mo for 5yrs, but that's way too much for my needs…

Yeah this is ridiculous. I've been with mint for a couple years now and they should offer this to their existing clients but I think I know what they're trying to do. They're just trying to build their base by offering 50% off but this is reprehensible. I'm going to start looking at what T-Mobile charges for the same amount on the 15 gig plan because this really pisses off his loyal customers... I hope he saves his money and doesn't send me a damn Christmas card again and take that money and put it towards giving us the same offer that you're trying to lure in your new clients.... Damn that really smokes my bacon. I wonder if you can quit and re-up?

If you pay in advance for 12 months, how are the taxes and fees a suprise?

Call and ask for your pin #, they will offer you savings to retain you. It won't be as much as this deal, but something is better than nothing.

This pairs well with the $500 of pixel 9 promo. Just received phone and service a couple days ago. So far so good. I'm in a large metro area and getting 450 mbs download speed. Wish I knew about Amex offer when I ordered. Around 550 total with taxes and fees for one year of service and new pixel 9 without trading in a phone is a deal IMO

I'll be jumping off after many years, when my contract is up in May. Price is fantastic but over the last year. I am finding little data service in the non metro and no service during large events. Very frustrating.

With Google Voice you can always be a new customer. Stuck in target 3 month 20gb/month plan, will wait a bit longer to buy it, I am sure with this plan you have to activate within 45 days of purchase.
Only problem is that not everything accepts VOIP numbers like Google Voice, e.g. certain banks, Zelle, etc.
