  • This deal works out to $15 per month. A nice offer since Mint Mobile typically only offers this sort of promotional pricing on shorter duration plans.

I had Mint for one year until about 6 months ago. Two things made me switch to US Mobile: data prioritization and extra fees significantly increasing the price at renewal.

Data prioritization: I live in a semi-rural area, so the vast majority of the time this wasn't an issue. However, occasionally on weekends when people were home my phone data would slow to a crawl. Where it became untenable was during power outages (including lengthy ones during natural disasters). My phone data was literally useless. I couldn't even check the weather apps. This was my #1 reason for switching to an MVNO that included priority data.

Fees: US Mobile charges you the stated price, inclusive of taxes and fees. Mint's price was much higher than expected due to taxes and what seemed like extraneous fees.

So far I have much preferred US Mobile. Even though I have to use the Verizon network (slower data speeds) in order to get priority data, I haven't had any issues and it's still plenty fast. During the last major power outage I had zero issues with data. I plan to keep them when it comes time to renew.

Not really! There is a $25 "recovery fee" and other fees which might bring the mint deal within a few dollars of the visible one

When you go to this page, it states at the bottom T&C this is only for new customers. If you login to your account and try to find the discounted plan it is non-existent. If you know a workaround please let us know. Thanks.

It irks me when new customers can get a better deal than existing. Yes I'm well aware of the reasons why new customers get offers.
i've been with them for 6+ years & told them i was ready to leave since as a longtime customer, i've never gotten any discounts. transfered me to retention & i got 4 free months at my next renewal

Tello 2gb no minutes plan for $6 + GV is where it's at.
$72/yr
Or with 5gb it's $10 a month, $120/yr.
Unless you use that much data...

If you use a lot of data I think you may still be able to get the TMobile 30GB data only plan, no voice, for $10.

I currently have Mint and would like to purchase this, but I have an esim. Will I be able be able to use it with already having a current account? I can easily use another email address, but will they be able to track it with my esim number?
Move it to google voice. Then switch back.

Ooh that's a good one too! Is that only for phones...I'm guessing it's probably not for the router hotspots. I know their plans for that is like 30 or something a month, right?

It's for hotspots but it works on phones just fine, they'll email you an eSIM, I used it for a while. It's $10 tax included if you set up auto-pay from a bank account. You actually do get a phone number, SMS works which is great for 2FA, but NO voice.

Nope, from the purchase date, not the date that you receive. This info is from the email.
Could you share the exact wording from the email you got? I went through all my emails from Mint but couldn't find anything about the service starting from the purchase date. If you can share a specific phrase, it'll help me find it faster.

Your Mint service starts from the time that you activate your plan. Mint Mobile SIM cards can be activated up to 45 days after you receive your SIM.
I thought it is 60 days

Are all streams, YouTube, ESPN, etc limited to 480p?
