We own the Lego City Undercover which is a lot of fun. We also have the Lego Harry Potter which is also good but we seem to play Lego City Undercover more. I just picked up the Lego Jurassic World, we will see how that goes. I am sure we will get our $4 of play out of it.
I don't know how you could NOT get $4 worth of play out of a Lego game. They all meet a good standard of quality.
Makes me wonder how much worth of play I put into TMNT in the arcade back in the day.

Just create a Nintendo account and you should be able to purchase it without issue. Then when you get a switch you'll link your Nintendo account to the switch and the purchase should be available to download from the Nintendo e-shop.

Pretty sure you have to have a Nintendo Switch linked to your account first.
Anyway to buy this prior to owning a Nintendo switch?
No. If you bought one as a Christmas gift you could always open it, create the account, buy/download the games and pack it back up.
Great prices. We have Skywalker Saga and Jurassic World. Both are no brainers at these prices if your kid remotely like those series. I found Skywalker Saga very fun, tons to collect. No need for the DLC.

The only way is if the game is sold elsewhere at other retailers/storefronts other than the Nintendo eShop (which doesn't seem to be case with these) and you buy an activation code which can be redeemed later. Nintendo, unfortunately for whatever reason, doesn't have functionality to allow for the purchase of a gift copy of games.

That's what I had to do for the Switch coming to my kids on Christmas. Tempted to try it out myself first
